Welcome to a nothing post

Thanks for stopping by!!!  I am pondering and wandering today!

Each Saturday I remove 1 fitted sheet, 1 flat sheet and 7 pillow cases and place in washer.

After the washer, I place the aforesaid linens in the dryer and sometime much later in the day, I wander through the bedroom on the way to the potty and suddenly I notice the unmade  bed has no sheets on it, and I then I remember to remove them from the dryer.

Memory has nothing to do with this post. What memory is my mantra!

The point of this post is: I may have gremlins living in the dryer. Every single time I take the fitted sheet from the dryer, ALL SEVEN pillow cases are rolled/tangled/snarled/caught up inside of that fitted sheet.

I am worn out trying to separate the cases from the fitted sheet, and then turn the FOUR corners to find the tag at least 87 times. The tag must go on the bottom left of the bed or the thing doesn't fit. There are only 4 corners, so why do I have to turn and turn and turn to find the tag?

Does anyone else get exhausted dealing with linens?  At least I don't have the old washer with rollers and two tubs to rinse in and all the sheets were FLAT, that I used when helping mother. PLUS I had to IRON the sheets and pillow cases. Talk about child abuse!

I don't iron! I used to and I hated it. I wear wrinkled clothes and think nothing of it! I do, actually, own and iron and board and I do, actually, use it from time to time.
I do the same thing trying to find the silly tag on the fitted sheet.
Let me say that I am VERY impressed that you wash the sheets every single Saturday. I used to change mine every week - but not any more. We take baths every night and I am just too tired! I may go two weeks at a time and IF I went longer than that - I would never admit it. Publicly, anyway......

...I knew there was a good reason not to have one of those...

I am a fortnightly sheet changer too: cool climate, nightly bather, no sweat. Single bed helps, though it can still be a wrangle... YAM xx

I hate changing the beds, but then I hate most household chores these days. Most I can get around but changing the beds has to be done.
We do not have a washing machine but there is a launderette just across the road. I shove it all in there and sit reading my book, takes about 40mins to wash and dry.
Still hate doing it though, lol

Thought I was reading my own sheet story until I got to the ironing part.
I have a missing bra which I think probably ended up inside something else from static cling. With my luck it is hiding inside of one of the RG's shirts and he will come to me some day with it hanging from his hand and a questioning look and a comment of some sort. haha

You mean I'm not the only one?
Ugh, on the double flat sheets and ironing. Looking back, I don't know HOW my mother did all that -- particularly in Winter with snow on the ground and no clothes dryer. This morning I'm hanging the pillowcases and Tom's t-shirts out in the sun room to get excess moisture out before putting them in the dryer.

PS - Laughing out loud at Gayle's comment!

My pillowcases always end up in the fitted sheet, too. I hate the big deep mattresses. Do you hear me...I HATE THE BIG DEEP MATTRESSES. It makes it so much harder to get the sheets on...or at least the one that is our bed does. I think it is...thankfully I have sheets that have flowers that are actual in up and down design till I at least sort of know how it goes. But this particular set of sheets is still hard to even find the corner and I am not joking. But I love the way the sheets feel...so I deal with it.

Sometimes I would almost rather deal with a flat sheet as the fitted ones!

My pillow cases go to the ends of the fitted sheets too - they are still wrinkled and wet - I don't get it either - lol. It is frustrating - my flat sheets come out fine.

I did our bed yesterday. Our dryer always makes balls out of the sheets so I set it for 15 minutes, unroll them, then set again. I do that a few times. It's a pain the in butt!!

The washing machine in our laundry room tends to put the pillow cases inside the duvet cover... And I have to sort that out before drying, because I hang the bed linen to dry in a (hot air) cabinet... The advantage is I don't normally have to iron the duvet covers, they usually get flat enough anyway. The pillow cases I run through the mangle that we also have in the laundry room. My fitted sheets get wrinkled but I've found the best thing is to fit those on the mattress first - and iron afterwards if needed! I don't have a double mattress to handle though, I suppose that makes it a bit easier. (And no tag to bother about.)

We deal with the same thing. And don't even TALK about trying to put them on the bed in the right direction! There are only two directions to put the fitted sheet on, so why do we have to keep turning and turning it around? And clothes...no matter if I turn them inside out or not, they always end up the exact opposite way, with one sleeve tucked way inside and wet.

It's not the pillow cases only that get lost in the corners of my sheets. It has sometimes been weeks later that I put a certain sheet on the bed and the sock which I thought was gone for good, shows up in a sheet corner. And no, I don't use my bed without a sheet, but have several in rotation.

HAHA.....the battle of wrestling with the sheets. My biggest issue is not the things you listed, mine it folding the fitted sheets since I have couple of sets per bed. Made that sound like I had a ton of beds didn't I? Well I do have four, one of only gets changed weekly. Back to the folding, there are videos on it and I still can't seem to get it. Also, the issue of drying other items with that said sheet and then finding a sock or something in the corner later when you go to use that said, half way folded but generally rolled up fitted sheet!!!

Fitted sheets are a royal pain. I always end up with things wrapped up inside of them when they come out of the dryer. I can' imagine having to iron my sheets. I was born at just the right time because I hate ironing and had I been born earlier I would have had to do far too much of it.

I'm the same, bed sheets are washed on Saturday. I purposely leave my bed unmade in the morning if I don't get the chance to strip it. Leaving it unmade will bug me like no other so it never takes long for me to throw the sheets in the wash, but yes, once dried the pillow cases always end up in the fitted sheet sometimes still damp. I'm so glad I never had to iron the sheets that's just craziness it but kudos to my mom who can fold a fitted sheet perfectly flat. She tried to show me but I can't seem to grasp it.
