Generation 10 is HERE

I'm so HAPPY! Generation 10 is HERE! In my House! In my hands!  I bought a new Kindle. My current Kindle is 5 years old and twice in the past week, while reading, the page FROZE, it would not move! I did a restart and it worked fine. The 2nd time I said to Bob, I am going to order a new one, because use don't want to be around me if my Kindle doesn't work!  He agreed quickly. It came over night! YAY!   I love Amazon! I love Kindles!

I have always chosen Reading over any other entertainment, starting when I could hardly hold a book!

Do you have a device of any kind you can't live without? Or something NOT a device you must have?

For the tales of my love affair with  Kindles, there are Prior Posts HERE  This one is Sandra's 4th Kindle, so says my account on Amazon!

I'm hooked on my iPad, and I use my iPhone sometimes for pictures, but I use my computer for blogging and searching for blog ideas the most. Also I love my Rokus and TVs for watching series by The Great Courses Plus and for streaming movies and TV series. Yes, it would be a big adjustment to have to live without the internet and my toys.

I am SO happy for you! Now, what are all the the differences between your old one and the new one? My two things are the computer and the T.V.

I am on my 3rd kindle and between that, my tablet and my phone I have more than enough entertainment. I'm a bit attached to my electronic devices.
So does the new kindle have any fancy new features that the others don't?

Good morning,
I have gone through the small ipad for ebooks and now on a Kindle Fire. I am sorry I did not buy the Kindle Paperwhite, I only using for reading my books.

I have kindle (old, old, old one)...used it a couple times & since then, it's done nothing but collect dust. I'd prefer books...holding a book is more my cup of tea.

As for devices ... for me, if my camera & zoom lenses broke, I'd be shopping the very your for replacement(s)

I have a new Kindle as well. My old one started "losing" part of the page--first about an inch on the bottom. I would try making up what those last few lines were. It got worse. When I decided to get a new one, they were on sale!! So were the covers.

Best,
Bonnie

Fire Stick (has replaced most of my TV viewing), Laptop, iPhone, Camera, Kindle. My Kindle is an older Fire HD and is showing its age. I also have a Kindle reading app on my iphone. I have considered getting an iPad and adding the Kindle app for reading there and not replacing my Kindle.

Congratulations! I'm so tickled for you, doing something nice for yourself.

My Kindle Fire's 4 y/o, but it's still hanging in. (Crossed fingers.) My go-to is still the desktop -- think HUGE monitor for these olden eyes. For some reason, even when I was in a 'free' WiFi area (hotel + hospital), my cellular connection worked, but not the Kindle.

I don't know which Gen my kindle is...I got one last summer/fall that has 32 GB....because I was having the same problem as you. It would take forever to start...etc. I am hoping this one lasts a lifetime. I don't read near as much as I used to, but I feel naked if I am not reading something.

Yay for you MS as I know how very much you love your Kindle.
I would be a bear to live with if my iPad was sick. I'm addicted to Words with Friends. I love reading but I prefer real books

I think my new iPhone would probably be the hardest thing to live without...I use my iPad to store and read my kindle books, but lately i have been listening to audio books more than actual reading

Congratulations! If I read more I would definitely get one. I should check it out. I have all my books on a kindle app. I do love having my cell phone.

Congrats on your new Kindle purchase, Sandra. yes, I have an older one as well and really enjoy using it. I recently read about the newer one being available but wasn't sure if I should upgrade. I have a tablet and mobile phone, but never read on those. The Kindle is just a reader for me and that's perfect. Please keep us updated on how you like the new one.

Also, glad you are enjoying the song I posted in my last video, I like it as well and the other song I mentioned, Happy, is just as contagious.

Sandra, there are various versions of Kindle. My older one is the Kindle Paperwhite, which version did you get and did you also buy a cover; if so, any recommendations?

Do I have one device? No. I have several. I 'need' my iPhone, my iPad and preferably my laptop.
