My shoulder, neck, arm and hand have been more pain that I could stand at times.
The diagnosis is RMD also called RMS, and the easy way to search is Mouse Shoulder, No I did not get bitten by a mouse.
What does repetitive movement mean?
Definition. Repetitive motion disorders (RMDs) are a family of muscular conditions that result from repeated motions performed in the course of normal work or daily activities.
For me, mine is Computer and other devices over use. Mouse and TYPING... I pretty much live on the computer. I am going to take a few days off, to decide, what and how to do.
There are excercises and mine can be fixed by STOPPING using the computer. 24 hours off and I am pain free.
Bob had MOHS surgery scheduled for skin cancer on his eyelid today.
the cancer specialist said that the cancer was too deep and that she did not want to operate on it because it would be too dangerous and he might lose his eye or it might make him go cross-eyed are to Danger best things to the tear ducts. She cancelled the surgery I'm sent us for blood work and then we will have an appointment do you have an eye scan done with dye in the system to see how big it is and how deep it goes and if she can't do the surgery then he will take a pill for it so now we wait. I will not be posting our visiting for the next few days while I figure out how I can keep blogging without doing harm to my shoulder
you can see below where it is and why it would be dangerous to cut very deep there

Hello,
Sending prayers for the both of you! Take care, enjoy your break from the computer.
Hari OM
You take care of you and the rest will take care of itself... POTP x87 for you both. YAM xx
I am praying for healing for both of you. I had similar pain to you, when I was working, and one thing that helped was I switched hands to use my computer mouse. Keeping off the computer is the best thing, as you are doing.
So sorry that you both are having problems. Hope both can be healed.
You guys must feel incredibly frustrated by this latest hiccup. I guess in the end, I'd rather have an overly-cautious surgeon than not. Praying that his labs and that pill will do the trick.
Pssst! Heal, shoulder. Heal!
Oh MY, it does look cancerous for sure. Well, if she wasn't sure if she could operate, she should not have scheduled it yet! I am so sorry, I did research your pain. What I gathered was that a pain clinic can really help with suggestions and such. I have dealt with pain for many years, and finally one of my doctors was straight with me. She said that she had to know a little about everything, but pain doctors only deal with pain, and know how to help much more than regular family doctors. They know things the others do not. She was right, for chronic pain you need a pain clinic. I know you may not want to know this, but what could a consult hurt? You have nothing to lose. Just trying to help. I am so glad to see your post, I was so worried about you.
Oh Sandra, these are the kind of posts that make my heart ache. A lot of us are contemporaries experiencing life as the 'older' generation and it gets me through when we can share.
I know in some instances you use 'speaking' on the 'equipment'. Perhaps after your hiatus you can increase those instances to cut down on mousing and typing. I am doing that more and more.
And . . . what another heartache that Bob, the so physically active man of his age, to have to deal with skin issues.
Take Care. Our prayers are with you.
Sending prayers and a hug Sandra, for both of you.
I'm so sorry about your pain. It is nice that it goes away if you don't use the mouse but that's not a solution is it?? Are you usually in a chair or at a table? Hopefully exercising will be helpful.
Praying for you both. Will miss ypu posts, but when I open my laptop I will be praying for healing and for the medical folks on your cases.
Sending love and prayers to both you and Bob!!
I'm so sorry! Sending hugs and love to you both. :(
Sandra I think I have exactly what you have - what kind of doctor did you go to that diagnosed that?
Take care of yourself and Bob. I know you are worried about him. Me too.
You're both in my thoughts. This shoulder arm probkems sounds like carpal tunnel and/or tennus elbow....maybe a brace of some kind? Just a thought. I wear a wrist band when I crochet...it's oainful without it. I also limit my time at the computer for the same reason. 1 hour a day.
I am so sorry, Sandra! Double whammy. Prayers for you and Bob.....as always as I pray for you both every single morning. This is hard. I know you have been using the microphone to 'type'......praying you find a way to keep doing what you love to do and what WE love for you to do!!
Oh my, that is close to his eye. I can see why she wouldn't want to operate. Hope all goes well for both of you
What a double dose of bad news for you and especially Bob and we will keep you both in thoughts and prayers, Sandra. A dear friend’s husband has been having similar eye issues, but with his eyelid. And, like you I often have pain in my shoulder and neck, but no diagnosis. Hope that the computer time off helps you and the meds help Bob.
Man, just when you find something you enjoy doing, you have to stop. I've heard of Dentist who get issues with their hands and wrist, or hairdressers that have the same but I've never thought being on a computer would have the same effect. Sorry about your husbands eye, not the news you were hoping for, but I can see where it would be a tricky situation. Hope there is an alternative for him.
Hang in there my friend!!
Prayers for you both!
I will be so glad when tomorrow is over...the hurry up and wait is so wearing. Keeping you and Bob in my thoughts and prayers.
Aww, my sympathies for both of you. I hope you can both find some solutions/compromises that will work out for you... Hugs!
Hugs and prayers for you both. About your shoulder pain, has anyone suggested PT?
Cancer does not like sodium bicarbonate. Using a paste on the spot and covering the eye at night may be of some additional help. I have used sodium bicarbonate to get rid of pop ups on my face. And a made daily drinks while fighting my colon cancer. It was not the only thing I did but it gave relief And as you know I managed my colon stage 3 after tumour was removed and I refused chemo.
As for blogging I have learned to lie on the couch with my tablet near my face as it is the only way a can see. I wish you both less health stress. God bless you.
I've,had you both in my thoughts...hope you two are seizing some improvement. Glad to see you visit today!
Seeing, not seizing!
