Popping In to see you

Popcorn is prepared in the same pot, in the same oil, at the same heat. Yet not all kernels pop at the same time, or looks the same
Don't compare your self to the other kernels, your time to POP will come!
author unknown, quote found on Facebook.
You are all Popping A-maize-ing and we are all butter together.

I need your help. If I happen to be on the computer and  If I set the 10 minute timer, and at 7 minutes can't wait another 3 minutes to potty,
do I Turn the timer off, Pause it? or let it run out?
If I pause it, and let the 3 minutes run out, is it ok to do another 10 minutes, which means I am sitting for 13 minutes?
If I forget to set the timer when I sit down, is it cheating if I set it when I think of it, even though I have already been there 10 minutes?

If you have to go potty, turn the timer off. Because that counts as getting up and moving around. Then when you come back online, re-start it. Very cool comparing people to popcorn!

I agree with Ginny, on both counts. 🙂

I admiral your play on words today. And as far as timing goes, do what you feel is right for YOU. Don't rely on what's butter for other colonels.

I think I agree with Ginny, too. Just wondering, do you time your pauses as well??

You are popping amazing!
I waste no time. If I have to go, I go right away.
Have a happy day!

Depends how far you have to walk to go to the toilet, and whether you fill the hole in after you. (Cats know these things; we have energy and exertion balance calculated to the nano-joule.) xxx Mr T

"If I pause it, and let the 3 minutes run out, is it ok to do another 10 minutes, which means I am sitting for 13 minutes?" I see no problem at all with doing this. The recommendation is actually to move for five minutes in every hour of desk-based work, so you are already doing more than is stipulated by health and safety!!! When the need is specific to your spine and shoulders, you could do worse than read this article! YAM xx

I worry about a lot of things but I think you always find a way to top my worries! Pass the bowl of popcorn please...is it buttered?

MS what a wonderful series of words don't compare yourself to other kernels!!
We need to repeat that 100 times each morning when we awake

Hmmmmmm! I'm over here debating (and chuckling). The judge from Coosada agrees with Ginny (and Jean).

Go potty. Pause the timer or start over.

Love that quote. Haven't thought about eating popcorn for awhile - it looked good.

Love popcorn and your words to the wise...
don't compare...
I guess I just am not built that way..too controlling for me.
I would go nuts having to live by the timer.
I know this works for you and that's terrific. Your body and the healing it gives you is worth it for you.
Enjoy your day..I have several hours of Elder-care today...at least the sun is shinning..that helps the attitude. (:0)

Oh heck, if you gotta go, you gotta go. Just start the timer over - that gives you more time with your blogging pals:)

I think you get to make your own rules on this one. I do like Ginny's thoughts on this though

But when you go potty, you are still sitting....

No idea why a 10 minute timer is ser for computer as it barely has time to boot, I would use 30 minutes and pause for potty trip.
As for popcorn in oil I prefer the new way of a silicone microwave container just for popcorn. It is very fast and no additives except for what you may choose after it is popped. Mine makes a volume of 5 cups from 3 fable spoons of kernels in 1;44 minutes on high. I love it.

Love the popcorn analogy. Wise! I like the stopping the timer idea from Ginny, and the 30 minute timer from Heidrrun.
