On the bathroom sink, I have 4 things only sitting out.
Wrinkle Cream, a NECESSITY.
I can not have the jar there if the Loreal on the lid is not facing the same way
as the name on the Jar.
Would you switch it if it was?
Fake soft soap, a necessity. I bought the soap years ago, and have reused the bottle ever since. I buy Ivory dish detergent and fill as necessary and the Bottle MUST be facing out, not backwards.

I don't know how much of those things I would notice..but thinking about things. I do always have bottles facing out. I do not have a large sink area.
I do care where and how things sit! Even tissue boxes, whch must be facing the same way. the pump soap bottles have really been annoting me. Because for the pump to be facing out by your hands, the bottle has to be backwards. And the top with the pump will not work if you turn it any other way. We have pretty much NO room on our bathroom sink. All that sits there is a package of butt wipes. I like the baby wipes because they are bigger than the ones for adults. Go figure...baby wipes are large for tiny baby butts, adult wipes are tiny for large butts.
I haven ‘t used hair spray in over 30 years, and I don’t use wrinkle cream. It’s easier not to look in the mirror. 😊
yes, I do... but I'm a virgo so it is in my genes LOL
You probably are crazy, but so are the rest of us. That's why the marketing people for all these products make bottles and jars that look good in one direction - so that we will choose them from a shelf full of similar stuff - and want it to continue to please us when we take them home. Like you we refill the liquid soap from a 5 litre (gallon)can we buy a couple of times a year but we use an old (repurposed) pump action shampoo bottle because it is taller and the nozzle can reach over the edge of our handbasin (which is one of those bowl sorts that sit on top of your bathroom counter).
Good morning,
I wish I had a bigger counter to sit things on, mine is kind of small.
I do have the soap sitting the easiest way to use. Take care, enjoy your day! Have a great new week!
I live with Bud who has the same obsessive compulsive disorder. And of course me being me, I purposely mess it up.
I apparently am not too fussy because however I set it down is how it stays.
I have terribly straight hair and don't bother with hairspray. It doesn't hold my hair the way I want it any way so I quit buying it. My sink area in the bathroom is very small.

I don't have vanity sides to my sink - but have a wire basket hanger in which sit the necessary deodorant, toothpaste and brush, talc, perfume, cream. Difficult to be choosy about facings. IF I did have a vanity side, I would be fussy... YAM xx
If you believe in it we can blame it on our zodiac sign. I'm a Virgo and I'm the same way. I think I remember you being a Virgo too. We're freaks about stuff like that lol.
A place for everything, and everything in its place! Me, too. This is exactly how the blind are able to be so self-sufficient. One of my church friend's hubby is that way and Sue says he gets really upset if, when one of the grands comes over, and something's moved.
Oh! And like Ginny said, it irks the tar out of me when to operate those pumps, you have to turn the bottle the 'wrong' way.
PS - Yep, I have to use hair spray (gel, too). Otherwise my hair flies everywhere, like an over-ripe dandelion.
Of course each container, whether on the counter or on a shelf behind a closed door, must sit with the front facing the front.i';ve been told that I am too fussy about some things, but it helps me to stay somewhat organized.
I use to be more OCD but not as much anymore. However there are definitely things that must be in their right place and facing the right way! I use a lovely liquid witch hazel hair spray but only if I'm going somewhere and that may happen only once a week or less.
On my sink is a round soap dispenser with no labels on it. (I fill it from another bottle.) Other stuff is in cupboards, boxes or in holders hanging on the wall. I do care about where things are kept etc but perhaps not quite to the degree you do. I don't think you're crazy, though ;-)
I have a decent vanity type double sink in the bathroom I use. Dave's stuff is in our Master bath.
I have handpump soap which I realize now must be pointed outward but that crazy pump isn't always in the right direction.
toothbrushes in a holder...a canister of little paper cups, pumpbottle of body lotion and my chapstick if I forget to put it back in the side drawer. Everything else is in my drawers which thankfully the vanity has a lot of. I just cleaned them when son Mark was here. He put in new sink faucets so everything had to come out so his 6 foot 4 inch frame could sort of fit under there.
I do love having 2 bathrooms fo we each have a place for everything we need.
Sue
Sandra - you have the same thing I do - it is called OCD. And I am not ashamed - lol.
Mom wouldn't care which way everything is set up, but she would prefer they all sat in a drawer except for the soap. Dad would be like you, everything has a certain way it HAS to be:) Mom buys a large container of handsoap and replaces the dispensers:)

Oh yes, everything must face the same way. I once got a job with Hallmark by calling them and telling them I just HAD to straighten their cards and "face" them, as they say in the trade! I worked at Natural Grocers because of that trait, too. I cannot rest if things don't face correctly, including in my pantries.
I have not used gel or hairspray since I moved to FL...makes my hair sticky. But you are right...everything has to be in the right order. I have one sink in my master bath and lots of counter space. I have my liquid soap in a pretty bottle I got years ago at Anthropology, Curel lotion and a mirror (magnifying) and that was ALL until about a month ago. I now have a new electric toothbrush. It stays out and I was wondering if it would drive me crazy but so far so good! No crazier than usual! hahahaha!
I put the cream on my wish list! Is it too late for me? hahahaha
I have a smaller sink so I can put what you have in side cabinet and drawers. I used to have last place an unit so big. I disliked it. The whole place was huge. I thought wow this is beautiful but when you have a big place it is a lot of work. That is all I did was work, dust. Then go see Sid.
I have like I say smaller but now I appreciate it. Sid was the particular person in the bathroom but after my two knees operated on. Everything was a chore. I had a wonderful husband that took care of me until. Now I love to be with him for hours. I wish I was strong to lift him and he is not big anymore. My back is not good.
I don't use hairspray. I am allergic to it and moose.
I got annoyed with "things falling over" that I bought a clear type of stick/slide wall container that just happens to fit to one of the basin/wall space - even managed to get the soap thing in it, with various "used regularly things" including my el.toothbrush that can stand. But I've still not totally rectified the hard soap but that okay. My basin is very tiny as is my shower and the whole of the bathroom isn't built for more than "one"
That is something I do. I like a little order :) I use pump hand soap for guests but my one luxury is that I buy this hand soap just for us. It has the most heavenly scent and you will often find me sniffing it, lol. I call it aromatherapy and that’s my excuse ;)
OCD, I have it too. My bathroom vanity (large) has vintage perfume bottles on a silver antique tray. They are arranged "with perfection". (HA, in my mind, anyway) Also my liquid hand soap is removed from store bottle, and poured into a cut glass pump bottle. The bar soap is in a hand painted china soup dish. On the right side I have a lamp, with an antigue statue, placed in front of it, of two children, with vintage rhinestone necklaces hanging just so, on them. The hand towel is folded a certain way to the left of the sink. The bath towels are hung "with a certain fold, on the door to the shower. But then, also,in the kitchen, in the fridge, the design on the butter cover, has to be facing the same way out, as the design on the container itself. The plates we eat on,have the design facing the person, neatly. There is more, but this just proves I am more than NUTs. I have been called a Neatnick, I am a Virgo, so that's my excuse.
that is something I do. everything that sits on my counter must be facing out, not backwards. hand soap and a face cream on my counter. alas, i wish I had a bigger counter..
