In the Jungle, the quiet Jungle

Philomena thrives, longer by the day, her two daughters looked sicker by the day.
In a fit of I just do not CARE,  I jerked them out of the vase and threw them in the trash.

July 26 elephant ears were at my chin level in height

Our Elephant ears are now 7 feet tall. I can stand under them. Bob can't take a photo and with nowhere to prop the phone except in the POOL, I took  selfies to show you how tall they are.
No idea why my eyes are closed.
yes, I did have on a bathing suit.

Aug 26 photos and they are taller than I am. Just Call me Eve or maybe Jane as in Tarzans Jane.... I was laughing because I felt like a fool taking selfies with a plant. In the back yard, all alone, making a fool of myself.
Prior Post of the grandmother of this plant, from 2007
HERE she suffered death by dog, Baby Girl Did The Dastardly Deed

taken Aug. 14 , our fence is 6 feet tall.

Two Weeks Later Photos taken August 28th

It is gorgeous and perfect. It makes me happy to see it, and to see a post from you. It even has a lovely edging.

Wow fabulous plant. We call that Taro - do you eat the tubers? Good to have you back, and hope everyone in your household is getting back to feeling normal.

Great photos of you! The elephant ears are very tropical looking. I can just imagine them being used as fans.

Taro is staple food for some Polynesian cultures, and you have no idea the lengths they will go to to try and grow it in NZ (where at least in the South Island, the climate simply does not do it any favours).t
It was just one of those days - so tired that operator error contributed to the arse-factor in even simple things like zipping up a tote-bag without jamming it, and then getting cross because it jammed... and then realizing that being peed off at it all simply wasn't oiling the machinery and making the day go smoothly.... Tigger had the right idea - just wait until the day is over. Try again tomorrow.

Good grief, those elephant ears. Sorry, but I had to stifle a giggle at your selfies. First thing that came to mind was that jungle show, "Naked and Afraid."
You may be STRESSED to the max, but that hasn't quelched your sense of humor.
