Definitely NOT Pioneer Woman

MadSnapper MadSpoonRest

Have been showing their Pioneer Woman decor in their homes.
Ann showed her collection of spoon rests.
For those of you who don't know what a spoon rest is,

A spoon rest is a piece of kitchenware that serves as a place to lay spoons and other cooking utensils, to prevent cooking fluids from getting onto countertops, as well as keeping the spoon from touching any contaminants that might be on the counter.

My MadSpoonRest  is made of clear plastic, and when clean, looks like glass.
It is Made from 70% recycled drink bottle containers made in USA, and came with two very large delish tomatoes in it, for which I paid dearly.

I have 4 of these in my MadSpoonRest Collection. After seeing Anns's red polka dots, I briefly considered painting mine, but did not have time due to taking photos and creating a post.
The spoon was my mothers and is as old as I am and has lived in Kentucky, Georgia, and is now retired in Florida.
Tell us what you have that you reuse in your home or if you have a spoon rest. I love recycle/reuse becasue it saves our planet and saves me money.

I love your spoon rest! It is clean looking, and will match anything. I have one, it is a Pioneer Woman one that came with a few other things. Before I bought it, I would just use a little saucer.

I have a glass seashell spoon rest right now (only time it's changed out is during Christmas is when a Santa head spoon rest comes out). I reuse plastic recycled luncheon meats containers to store leftovers in fridge. Bud uses plastic coffee containers for bolts, screws, nails, etc.

Well you know that I have several spoon rests. Before I got those I only had a Christmas one so the rest of the year I would just use a saucer like Ginny did.
I like to find ways to reuse different items in craft projects.

I do have an official spoon rest, but it hardly gets used because I am all the time using my 'recycled' ones like you! I have a couple of jam jars that are a pretty shape which I use to keep my teaspoons and butter knives (in constant use so kept on the counter). Oh yes, use what you have and you will never want! Hello,

I have a spoon rest shaped as a Fox's face, it was a gift from our neighbor for watching their dog. I have to think about an item we recycled and still use. I am sure we have something. Hubby is very frugal. Take care, have a happy weekend.

I use a saucer, or if I have opened a can of zdx something that i have to get and stir, i just sit the can there and stick my spoon down in it.

I re-use plastic bags in my little trash cans. I know i do more but cannot think what right now.

I've not seen anyone use a spoon rest in years! Depending what I'm making, I just use a coffee-cup saucer or dessert plate; most often a paper towel.

Like Rose, I collect the grocer's plastic bags and use as trash can liners -- or 'stuffing' when I go to mail something. Who'd have thought, I've become adept at figuring which stores have the best quality. Usually it's Target; and surprisingly, the worst are those from Publix.

Yours is just fine. No one sees it anyway. Mine is plain white - lol.

I have a spoon rest on my stove that I have had since 1977.
A dear friend made it for me at her senior citizen's craft class.
Its not pretty, very childish but I love it chips and all because of the special friend that made it for me.
I will have to take a picture of it and post tomorrow.
I use plastic bags over and over until they fall apart.
We recycle most everything we have...and give and donate...

Well, I changed my mind ...
I just took a picture of my spoon rest and am going to put it up on my photoblog right now.
If I don't do it now...it won't get done!!

It does look like glass. I use a small plate for my spoon rest. I have a set of them. They are smaller than a side plate and work really well.

Hi Sandra, :=) I didn't even know there were such things as spoon rests. I have always used a small glass dish, or a plate for larger utensils. In my dining room I use little silver dachshund knife rests.

I, the Tigger, reuse my napping places. F balances spoons on the handles of her saucepans (if they don't get turfed straight into the sink), and like 'photowannabee' washes and reuses plastic bags till they fall apart. Jars with lids that go pop are probably our most reused item; they get saved up for jams and pickles. What we really want to find a good re-use for is the plastic buckets the yoghurt comes in. It annoys F to have to throw them away when the stack gets as tall as the radiator. They are so good that she takes soup to work in one - but you only need one for that and we seem to have squillions.

Very clever and of course I love all the pretty things the other blogs are showing. I use a saucer and into the dishwasher it goes after dinner. I run my dishwasher every evening. We rinse dishes and silverware off and place them in the dishwasher after every meal and that's how we do it. lol Did you get a BUNCH of RAIN? We sure did today!

I re-cycle junk mail. Whatever junk mail I get through the post I put it back in an envelope and send it back to the sender. With no stamp.

God bless.

My spoon rest usually consists of a small plate or bowl I get from my cupboard .

I do have a spoon rest that sits on my counter. I don't really use it much. I end up taking a piece of paper towel to rest my spoons on. I do have plastic containers from some food deliveries that I can use when needed.
