Google Lens Search

Are you aware of Google Lens Search? do you use It? it is the tiny camera in the search bar, tap that camera and aim the search thingy at anything and tap search and it will tell you what it is.
You can also ask Google Girl to google lens search.
I love it and use it a lot.
Aim it at your Dog or Cat head and tap search and Voila, you will know what kind of pet you have.
Another question for you.
Do you ever

Well, I do! and as I answered a text and closed out, I saw the tiny camera, saw the toilet tissue holder and
Wondered If It Would Work!

Not only did it work, it told me what it is called and gave me links to the cheapest place to buy the holder. Totally ignored the tissue, just searched the coreless toilet paper holder.
I learned a lot. Like what the name of the thing is that hold the TP.
seems the TP hold is cheaper that the paper that goes in it.
Most Important Lesson is they make a Paper Holder that protects the paper from your dog.
It did not mention cat protector, so who knows.
No, I have nothing better to do with my time, Just so you know

I went to Google.com, and there is no camera in the search bar, or anywhere else I could see. But I know you will have the answer to that. This is beyond cool. You have the curiosity and mindset of Einstein.

I see from searching that there are a lot of different websites to download google lens on your pc. But I don't know which one to trust.

I went to the actual lens.google website, but they only offer to load it on apple or android phones. They said it is available and I already have it, but I don't seem to.

For Ginny - if you 'right click' on any image and check down the list that pops up you will see "search with Google Lens" - no extras or apps required. It's a great tool and Sandra is right to remind us it is there! YAM xx

Google lens is an app on my phone. I don't know that I have ever seen it in the search bar on my phone. Now I'll have to look to see if it's there too. I do use it quite often. It's fun sometimes to see if it can correctly identify something. I haven't tried it on Gibbs so I"ll have to see if it can get his breed right.
I confess I have taken the phone in the bathroom with me before.

I'm so glad you told me about the lens feature -- I use it all the time! Tom's Samsung didn't come with that; but I found a (high-rated) app for Android and downloaded it. Now, if he can just remember how to use it to identify the RC parts he wants to sell!

I am with Ginny - I don't have one either! Would love it.

Woo hoo I didn't know that.
Now I have a burning question do you hang your tp so it rolls from top or from the bottom?
We are top hangers.

in response to your comment about monsters under the bed, we suspect you might enjoy reading some ot Terry Pratchet's Discworld series - try starting with "The Hogfather". We hope (suspect) his sense of humour would appeal to yours. We seem to recall there were 'monsters' under the bed in that book. xxx mr T and F

It is truly amazing! Gregg told me about it, he uses it all the time and encourages me to use it also. I am a little slow to doing that.

Sorry I had to delete last comment as I made too many errors.
The idea that Google will sell you stuff is one of the primary internet goals now. It will find stores near you so you can order and pick up, etc. cameras have so many uses nowI that they can drive the latest cars but what else are they good for? I have my fears.
