In the past week, I have had not one but 4 injuries that created bruises.
Eating Lunch, picked up Cell phone to check radar because as we ate, it got dark and windy.
The phone dropped from my hand
hit the counter,
bounced into the air and did 4 cartwheels and the corner of the phone hit right on the joint of the
KNEE! OWW!!! next day a bruise and the left knee was hard to bend.
Really? bob said A knee injury from a phone?
The next day, stepping out of the closet with Walking Beau Clothes in my hand,
the dresser leg that has been in that very position for 33 years, clobbered my right ankle
Causing a small trickle of blood plus the next day bruise.
Really? bob said an ankle injury from a dresser?
Not once but twice The Same Day, the corner where the hall wall meets the bend in the hall wall, put a bruise the size of a quarter on my shoulder.
The 2nd time was the other end of the same hall wall, and it got the other shoulder.
I have walked that hall for 33 years MANY times a day since it is the path to the Potty.
Is my house trying to KILL ME?
I AM SHOCKED! While telling this story I typed Walking into Walls in Google search.
I have a NEW disease to obsess over.
PLUS I KNOW My House is NOT trying to kill me.
PS... can you tell I have been playing with tutorials in PicMonkey?

Hmmm...well, the good news is that you are not demented, or dizzy. Apparently your eyes are just a wee bit out of whack. I'll take that any day instead of other worse things. BUT, OUCH!
Hmmm - with yours just suddenly coming on like that it's hardly zn eye alignment thing you've had all your life. More likely thinking about other stuff while doing something different 1 have you been stressed lately? Now we are starting to sound like we want to diagnose you...maybe it was just an ordinary week but we all bruise more easily as we age and the marks make you remember the bumps you would normally have forgotten about. We have to admit the phone one was specatular. If your life had depended on that, it would have missed your knee. Xxx Mr T
My eyes have been misaligned all my life. That's why I almost never read print books --- the eyestrain and dizziness is too painful. Prisms in my glasses and standing back from the computer makes a world of difference. So do audio books.
Anyway, I hope your house starts behaving better!

Yeah... or you were just in one of those senior days that I too have been having. I never ever dropped stuff. Until a couple of years ago. Now there's not a day goes by without an oopsie. And at least you know what caused your bruises. I have bruises and have no idea how they got there! YAM xx
Interesting, I never heard of that before. I tend to walk into things quite often. I just figured it was carelessness on my part. It normally happens at work but sometimes at home and it's usually when I'm in too much of a hurry to get something done.
Hello,
I am always dropping things, walking into walls or corners when I go into a room. I bruise easily, so my legs look awful. It's me, not the house.
Have a happy day!
I have days, no not whole days, but odd times where I stagger about as if drunk.
Vertical heterophoria? And now I know! I was always considered a klutz in my family. I hope yours leaves you alone now :)
People always caution me about getting out in the forest but see....you can get hurt staying home too! lol Hope today is better. Maybe you need to slow down!
Here I thought my walls were out to bully me! In a sort of strange way, it's comforting to know I'm not alone.
Going to this link now to learn more about what ails me!
PS - I'm loving your cartoons. Having fun, are you?
You are probably in a hurry - that is when I hurt myself the most.
Wow, I didn't even know there was a name for the wall corners trying to get me....
You have quite the "talented" phone but ouch it's not playing fair.
Hope your house will now behave since you "outed" it to all of us on the blog.
Going to be busy today getting ready for Father's Day BBQ tomorrow. Things to make and places to finally clean..Its suppose to be pleasant in the 80's tomorrow.
Now please be careful and hope the hurricane activity will pass you by.
Sue
Oh no I'm sorry
I've read the most injuries happen within 2 or less miles from home.
YOu might need some bubble wrap

Hugs Cecilia
I liked the idea of BUBBLE WRAP for you!! Now wouldn't that be fun???
Oh my, sorry about those bruises. I know it seems to be a never ending story here for my with my blood thinner. Hope your knee and ankle are feeling better. I'm sorry the phone hit your knee but it may have cracked if it had hit the floor or something else.
Agreeing with Tigger, I think... Unless you've "always" been bumping into things like that, that diagnosis is perhaps not the most likely cause... As for your house trying to kill you - what would be its motive?? Just having been given a fresh new coat of paint and all!! ;) Just getting older does seem to inevitably keep bringing new worries into our lives, though...
Fascinating! No trouble here with that condition, but post-stroke My brain does not easily tmerge into one imagewhat left and right eye see.To focus I have to physically turn my head so I looking straight at something. I guess stroke degraded peripheral vision. I'm happy I can see at all. Hope you find easy solution to in-house bumps and collisions.
