A Christmas Tale in November

A Christmas Post in November, that is what this be.
The shelves were full of all these things, it was still October you see!
I dragged out the Samsung Cell, while checking to see if anyone was watching me.
The price of the canes, were a sight to see
and way to much money for me.

The canes above have a story to tell,
I had my shopping list; I knew it well.
At the top of the list, I saw 3 bottles of pool chorine,
looking everywhere there were none to be seen.
Some silly persons had moved the pool supplies,
Way Back touching the wall, there were 4 bottles, I could see them with my eyes.
All that was needed to reach them, was me on my knees.
Knowing if I got down on my knees my back was sure to seize,
and the men to get me up, would number in the threes.
I walked up and down
while wearing a Frown,
Not a clerk anywhere could be found.
I rounded the corner, the candy canes came in sight
I grabbed the pack of three,
taking it with me
I leaned way over and pushed the canes to the back,
I hooked it in the handle and dragged one to me, giving those bottles no slack.
As I straighten up, lifting each into the cart,
I heard the words, now that was really smart.
Can you guess what I wanted to say?
Don't fret, I gave him a smile
And stopped to Snap Santa for a while.

I used their calling system in a diy cowboy store once ... I called for someone in the wall paper department... and I used a phantasy number code what said probably fire or something like that, because a guy appeared as fast as a lightning...

That was a great idea. That is really expensive for those candy canes.

Hello,
What a great idea. Santa is pretty. I would need help getting up, if I got down on my knees. I am glad they had your pool chlorine. Take care, have a happy day!

Necessity is the mother of invention. I am going to have to remember this. Love the prose!

This is like reading 'The Night Before Christmas' ... only more clever-er!
I hate it when there are no associates around to help. Reminds me of the time I had to crawl on the WM floor, under the bottom shelf, to reach the Dasani for another lady and myself. You KNOW their 'eyes in the sky' were probably sitting up there watching and laughing. It crossed my mind to giving them a little wave, but reason prevailed.

You have a fun way of turning a shopping trip into a rhyming poem, Sandra.

Enjoyed your story. The pictures are cute. Stores are always moving things to new places, especially this time of year. I saw some beautiful candy canes at See's candy yesterday.
