Happy 6th Anniversary!

Current down 71 lbs/5.7 Stone from January 2017 to Current date and down 81 pounds from what I was 2006 at retirement.
I reached my Goal Weight given to me by my doctor.

Today is 6 years since I gave up sugar!
Hello, my name is Sandra, and I am a sugar Addict.
I was and am and always will be a sugar addict. Sober 6 years.
Celebrating 2190 Sugar Free Days.

Bob said to me last week, you can eat a bowl of ice cream, it will not hurt you with one bowl.
I quickly reminded him of the fact when he met me in 1984, I had been sugar-free for 7 years, and had lost 100 pounds and held for 7 years.

My parents came to visit, we went to the beach, I ate an ice cream cone.
that was 1986 and by 1993 I had gained 60 lbs.
First it was sneaking candy, cookies or ice cream while he was at work.
Soon I was bringing pie, cake, cookies home with weekly shopping.

Cheers to my past!

2017 - 2019 64 pounds down

Kudos to you, Sandra, both on achieving your weight loss and your steadfast dedication to maintaining it, both are not easy accomplishments.

I'm so proud of you! Way to GO! And you look great and feel better too. I am sugar free for over 10 years...but now that I've found recipes for almond flour, I'm making a few desserts. I try to eat just a little. They are sugar free and low carb but they still have calories! lol Keep up the good work! Hugs, Diane

WOW! It doesn't seem like that long, but I bet it seems like an eternity to you. I am still holding at losing 100 pounds, but broke over around Christmas. I did not know you did this long ago!! Why had you done it back then? I don't think you knew about the I.B.S. connection yet? I don't know how you do it; you have the willpower of steel. I am hungry and my stomach burns all the time. Happy anniversary to holding your loss, and your creativity with food pairings!!

Woo Hoo !!!!!
Totally awesome!
I am so proud of you and the way you curbed your addiction.
I am really trying to cut down on my sugar intake but am no where as diligent as you have been.
The pounds do slowly creep up again.
Your transformation is fantastic..

I can pick one day to have it. And try to not worry I cry that Sid has passed. It is okay. Life is difficult isn't. Thank goodness there is a God.

Congratulations and happy anniversary. You look great!!! Mom has a sweet tooth too, ice cream and cookies. But she also has a salty tooth too - she does her best to keep things at a limit.

Happy Anniversary, dear lady. You must feel SOoooo good about yourself. There's those of us who only dream about such a drastic change, but you did it. Not once, but twice. Woo-hoo!
Me, I'm more a salt-a-holic. I tell myself I'm only going to eat 3 chips -- then something triggers in my brain and I'm like, "Whatever" and likely to finish the whole bag.

Sugar is the root of all evil…..wish I had the will power to ignore it. You did it - and did it so well. Congratulations on another anniversary.
Now if you have any hints on salt we’d love to hear those. Chippy chippy yum yum….they are almost as good as chocolate.

That's awesome. I admire your tenacity. I on the other hand am not one to give up sugar. I am trying to watch my intake more but I confess to indulging in desserts should the urge arise. -
