Successful Surgery

Carcinama removed from face, melanoma from back, on the day before thanksgiving.
he has had zero pain and is doing great.

The Good News is they gave us all the left over bandages/tapes/sponges.
The roll to the right is the cool tape, cut to fit and it covers all in one big bandage on his back.

She advised he would look like someone took a poke at his face. It looks painful, but he has zero pain and no meds taken.
He slept all night, I did not. Having pains in my joints since I had the Covid Booster. All my joints, I can barely get up off the sofa without pain. There is not a joint on finger, toes, spine, back, shoulder that is not hurting. Its been 4 weeks now and is worse. Also, body aches in muscles. Bob is the same with the joints/muscles
I wish I had not taken it.
Read all about it HERE. Yes, I read it after the fact.
Scar Face is his new name! for now, she said it will not leave a scar.

OMG - so lucky to get away without looking like 3 rounds with Tyson...I had a titchy biopsy on one eyebrow and had black eyes for two weeks. They all look scary, i hope the histology says 'all clear margins'. Tell Bob he might have to give up the day job as Santa and retrain as a pirate. Did they give him the special ointment (consistency like clear silicon sealant) that makes scars go away quickly? The stuff prescribed for my nose worked really well. Best wishes for fast recovery. Xx TM

Sending well wishes for you both.

Glad to read that Bob is doing so well, but disheartened to read that you are not with such effects after the shot, Sandra. Hope that you will be doing better in a few more days. Thankfully, I had no after effects.

Happy for both of you that Bob's surgery went well. Hope the healing continues to go well and no complications.

Oh, I'm so bummed you're feeling those nasty after-effects from the vax. Looking at our next 5-6 weeks' commitments, I just made a decision to skip the booster.

That's wonderful news above Bob's procedures. And yes, that cut-to-fit tape is great. We've still got somse remaining from Tom's surgery two years ago. I'm giggling what TM said about Bob skipping the Santa gig and going for a pirate ... almost in time for Gasparilla!

I'm so glad the surgery went well and that he's not feeling any pain from it. Hope he heals quickly. I can't believe the pain you have had with your booster shot. I'm so sorry to hear that.

Just so the cancer is gone, that's the important part. No more Covid shots for us, ever.

Ouch! That does look painful. So glad the pain meds work. Sorry to hear you had such problems after the Covid shot. I've a friend who has had very similar problems since getting hers along with the RSV vaccine and Flu - I'll pass.

I'm glad that Bob is healing so well after his surgery, but I'm concerned about your reaction to the Covid shot. I had reactions before, but none this time. I clicked your link and those symptoms were for Covid itself, not the vaccine. If the pain doesn't go away soon you might tell the doctor.

We waited a couple of weeks between the Flu and Covid shots, and will get the RSV one a couple of weeks after Andy gets his pneumonia shot. We decided to be cautious.

Oh, my, on his face and hate you are still hurting. His face looks like mine...mine did leave scars but at this stage in my life, I could care less

Ooooohhhh, I hope by the time you're reading this, you're both feeling (and looking) a bit better! It's no fun to feel this way, and I know this for sure, because when I don't feel good for whatever reason, it isn't pretty!

Take care of yourselves, and know that from my corner of Virginia, I'm sending healing and those feel better vibes!! ❤❤

PS: I like the leftover bandages, etc., too, and I gladly take them when offered. I'm also lucky that the doctor I work for lets me order gauze or whatever I may need. He's nice that way.

Hi Sandra,:=)
It's wonderful news that Bobs surgery went well and he feels no pain, but I'm sorry that you ache in every muscle. That is too much pain for anyone. Sending you lots of good wishes for you both.
