We have a Bermuda Triangle in our Kitchen.

Several nights back, evening meal. Bob
New Ketchup bottle.
I can't get the lid off, hand it to bob, he twists it off, reaches down for his butter knife, stabs it in the tiny lid you see above, and pries off the plastic thingy.
He flips the lid off; it flies into the air and
GONE! Really, it's Gone!
We searched high and low and low and high and for 3 days, every time I thought of it.
It is not to be found. I said we have a Bermuda triangle in our kitchen.
Yes, I have searched the entire 17 x 12 kitchen and the living area where to stools sit.
Here is the Proof!
This morning, i went to the tablet on the breakfast bar, the one by the phone, to write things down that i will not remember long enough to finish what i was writing down.
Smack in the middle of the tablet, was the little, tiny Super Smooth, plastic thingy!
Never Seen It! Have no clue what it is or where it came from! It was there when I got up!
It has to be a gift from the Kitchen Bermuda Triangle to say Sorry we took your little white bottle cap!
I left it there to see if it disappears!
The Bermuda Triangle is a vast and mysterious region in the Atlantic Ocean, just off Florida, where many ships, planes, and people have vanished without a trace.

Our kitchen is not vast,

but the cap disappeared fast.

it is gone without a trace.

leaving a gift in its place.

maybe the bermuda triangle comes with something we buy in stores? instead of the ring what makes you invisible (not!) we will get now our own mystic place?

I’d be careful in the kitchen if I were you, maybe you’ll disappear!

I struggle with opening these plastic tabs on bottles of mayo and ketchup. I'm struggling with everything at the moment. I'm no longer blogging. No need to reply as notifications end up on email and then I have to delete them or the email system adds to storage issues and it's another step to delete. :(

Hmmm - like the crucial retaining washer (for the cutting disk machine) that got dropped in the garage. Searched hi and lo. Swept every bit of fllor. Couldn't find it. Started trying to work out how to get another. Turned out to be an expensive imported part. Some days later it is lying in ths middle of the floor.... My father used to say 'take your eyes off him, he'll put it back.

There is actually a rational explanation for the reappearance of our lost washer but i will explain another day!

Sandra this is all too familiar.
We love Harris Teeter's lightly salted dry roast peanuts.
I buy a jar every week. Last Friday night I reached in the pantry for a new jar of peanuts. The lid is the type that just twist off the seal breaks, you take the lid off and remover the paper covering on the jar. I twisted and twisted and twisted 87 more times. Then I got out the handy dandy rubber thingie that always gets things off. NOPE
Bryan tried. Saturday I took it back to the store. Told them my sad story. A big brawny young employee comes by he says may I try. Of course he got it off...We all laughed. I live literally 2 minutes from HT. I told him from now on I was bringing everything to him. He said well your efforts loosened it for me. Such a nice guy

Oh, I do love the way you tell a story!

This is just too weird. Do y'all have an overhead light fixture it might have temporarily adhered to? If you figure it out, will you please tell me where my weed eater thread went to back in September?

I have a hard time opening bottles and most things, I have to ask hubby to help. A mystery indeed, it is amazing how things can go missing.
