My 6 month check up was perfect.. Blood could not be better! Nothing going on but varicose veins and skin cancer and a case of ugly legs... I am in excellent health for 3 months and counting down to
Age 80.
Much to be thankful for and I am... Now about the TERRIFIED.
For a year I have felt like I am locked in a cage with no way out! Stressed and getting more stressed.

10 minute talk with my Primary Care, whom I love and trust.
She is referring me to a psychologist for Dementia Testing. Me memory is worse by the day, I am misspelling words by transposing the letters and that is when writing, not typing.
I am terrified to be tested, and terrified not to be tested, and terrified of what they will find and what I will hear and how I will deal with it....
No appt yet, will keep you posted.

I may fighting worry with playing on Garage Band. see if this link will work. it creates a M4a file not mp4.

You like and trust your doctor so I think you should do what she advises. The thing is, if the test turns out not so good, there are new meds now to really help! Knowledge is power, and then you can start to work on it once you know! I think it is worse fretting because you do not know. Fear of the unknown can be worse than fear of the known. And it might just be stress overload!
I agree with Ginny. It's scary but it's worse not knowing. And playing with Garage Band or something else is the healthiest thing you can do while you wait. During Covid when I had some health problems and couldn't get help dealing with them I spent a lot of time doing jigsaw puzzles. You're doing something better than that because you're sharing it with us. Thank you! Connecting with friends is so important. We love you! ❤️

Diverting your fretting into creativity is a healthy response... Though you may have to go to the music file and ensure you give public access...or use the "those who have the link" option, as currently it's asking that access be requested. YAM xx
The two comments above say it all. It is better to be diagnosed early as possible to gethelp. The earlier its caught the easier to treat. Bill, is showing signs that worry me but I doubt he will ask a doctor for help. I'll have to do some trickery to get him to the doc. I hope your stress eases soon. Thinking of you.
I couldn't have said it better than Ginny did. If the test comes back with unwanted results at least you will have caught it early and measures can be taken. Stay positive and keep on playing to keep your mind occupied.

They do have medicine now that helps if diagnosed early.

Everyone who has already commented left some very good observations, Sandra. It’s the uncertainty that could be stressing you out more than necessary and could continue to do so, better to know than not and then go forward from there if needed.
I certainly agree with all the others, not knowing is lots worse. You do keep your mind very active with all the computer things like art, AI and Garage Band so that is certainly a plus. Hugs dear friend.

Terrified? All the time; I can soooo relate. I'm scheduled for the annual mammogram next week and that's all I can think about (b/c my right breast has been hurting for a few weeks). I tell myself not to think about it, but that's like telling myself not to blink.
I think we're so blessed to have Blog friends with good advice (like above), or even a cyber shoulder to cry on.

I'm happy to hear that your appointment went well. I can understand your fears. I'm praying for you.
I am so happy you have a doctor you can trust...hopefully the same will be true for your psychologist...and she can reassure you that you will be fine. I agree with everyone that your curiosity, and love of learning show that your mind is in pretty good shape...Stress can be a factor in just about everything though.

Oh Sister...thank you for being so transparent...Stress and worry can knock us all down..but knowing you you will pick yourself up and just move on..I am in agreement with all the comments, especially Ginny's. The unknown can truly be scary. Praying for you...We are all in this TOGETHER...

Sandra you have had so much stress and you are so hard on yourself - I think you are alright!!!!!!!!!!! I would go to the doctor to set your mind to ease. When you get the good news - forget about it - go out somewhere - volunteer - keep busy.
I think all of us are doing every symptom you are having.
I do feel you are okay - but I will send up prayers.

It's good you will be seeing your doctor. That's half the battle. I will keep you in my prayers.
It’s important to know what is really going on. Then you can begin to deal with it and you will refrain from imaging all kinds of scenarios. Good luck with it all.
Sandra, I agree with other above, it's better to get tested, because either you're all right (and that will be a relief) or should you have some problems, you can get help and advice how best to handle it. As I've said before I don't think it can bee too serious, as you always seem to remember what it was you forgot!
