Shore Birds, For David G on Nature Friday

Its Nature Friday over at Living the LLB life

For those of you who do not follow David of Travels with birds, this POST, is something you should visit. It made me happy; I laughed, I looked at all the photos twice, do not' miss it. Click the link Post and travel to Costa Rica.

The bird above is 2 photos of the same bird, that I merged, way back when I first started this blog

What fabulous birds. I can imagine the gulls squabbling but the egret things are really something else. What are the birds with black and orange beaks that look as though their eyes are in the wrong place?

Thanks for sending me to Costa Rica. It was a delightful trip.
Loving all these photos. I can't even decide which is a favorite. They are all wonderful.

What a great series of pictures you have here Sandra. The egrets with the yellow feet are Snowy Egrets. You may be interested to know that at one point they were killed indiscriminately and their numbers plummeted, all to fill the demand for feathers for women’s hats. Thanks so much for doing this. Hello Sandra

Your bird photos are beautiful, I love the heron, gulls, the terns and the Skimmers. They are all just a beautiful sight to see. Costa Rica is a beautiful place to visit. Take care, have a happy day and a great weekend.

Such great photography. How fun it is to capture the movements of nature. Costa Rica is on my bucket list to visit...granddaughter #2 went there last year on a missions trip and she loved the place...especially the wildlife..

How fun you are, and I can't get over that one with Phyllis Diller hair. I should print it and paste on my bathroom mirror so I won't feel so bad first thing every morning.
I used to love the shore birds' antics when we'd visit the beach. Clowns, every one!

Snowy Egrets (white plumps & yellow feet) are one of my favorite shore birds. They look elegant to me. We have a great big pic of one in our Master Bathroom. It was imprinted on tile. Very pretty.
Love. 🌸

Fantastic photos Sandra, I especially liked the one where the egrets feathers were flared out below the one where you merged the two birds into one photo, which was great by the way. So well done I wouldn't have known. A marvelous collection of photos here. I am a big fan of David's blog also.

Oh My Sandra! These are gorgeous photos! I love them all! The birds on the shore of the ocean are so amazing and fun to watch. You really managed to get some great pictures. Our birds here on Still Waters Pond are quite tame compared to those shore birds! Lovely lovely lovely

Loved seeing all the birds, here and previously. I had to get out my bird book to identify these here today...the snowy egret made me think of when I have a bad hair day, LOL! Loved all those skimmers! They really stand out with those red feet and on theor beaks too. Did you know that no other bird has a beak with a longer lower jaw than the top?? It sure would be fun to see them for real!

The one where you merged two should be titled Walk This Way....
