Found another one

Our Gulf Fritillary catepillars are hale and hearty and I found another Chrysalis, it has been there for several days. It seems to be hidden from our Lizards.

What a find and what a good picture.
Those critters best stay off the 'maters if they want to learn to fly.

Your new header is gorgeous! It goes well with the black background.

I am at awe with caterpillars!

This one is kind of creepy and evil looking. I would think it is poison, sis. So watch out with Jake and Baby. Only because bugs and snakes that are very brightly colored are nature's way of saying watch out, I am poison. I missed the play house in my own picture, duh!

I have seen the butterflies but not the caterpillars or chrysalis. Thanks, Teach. I treasure this new-to-me bit of natural history.

Love that first shot. Very cool. So are you keeping this one hidden from Bob?...lol

From the size of these caterpillars, it looks like the lizards would have a fair-sized snack, Sandra.

By "our" caterpillars, you mean you, Baby and Jake, right? Cause if Bob's found it.... well, you know. ;)

Great pics. I hope the one in the chrysalis makes it so we can see the photos. Love the bright yellow flower & bees banner! :)

Oh my, even as a caterpillar they are pretty. I wonder if there little 'hairs' are soft or sticky?
Hopefully the Chrysalis will stay hidden from the lizards.
