THEY say a picture is worth a thousand words, so here is my message for today.
Remember this Blog the next time you say, "Oh, for the good old days."

Love the whole blog. The Carpenters, the animals, the children, etc. Good work! I am one of those who says frequently, oh for the old days. I repeat, Oh for the old days!
have to admit I REALLY like my conveniences and don't want to go back to getting water from a pump and the outhouse. Did that enough in other countries.. I do have to say that I like the red stove coffee pot. Very artistic. My folks use to have a big blue one that they used when they had many people over for dinner. They made it "Swedish" coffee with the egg shells in the grounds..that's all I remember about it... Sue
Hari OM and TA-DAAA, just like that, fourteen years are gone! What a fab idea to bring us back in time... to post about thinking back in time!!! I do like to see these things; but yeah, it is good to be reminded that we really do have it comfy now. YAM xx
I SEE you! This is such a novel idea to show 'now' v. 'then.' Love the hurricane lamps best, but that feather pen would have been a fun desktop accessory back when I was working.
... we have it very comfortable today :-))) Thank you.
I'm reading a book about a country family in the 1930's - hard times. Water was dragged in buckets... the coal was taken out of the ground... potatoes were eaten with linseed oil... - today I had chicken in rhubarb sauce with green beans and potatoes cooked in my wonderful kitchen - Nothing with a water pump in the yard...

Hello,
I like the modern conveniences, I could never live in those early days.
Take care, have a happy week ahead.
We did so much less back then but did it the hard way....

Thank you.
Those were all fun to see!
Then and now photos- good way to compare and think about how it was.
Those days don't seem like all that long ago, but we sure do have it pretty darn good on a lot of things, don't we?
PS: THANK YOU for sharing your thoughts on my blog and cheering Todd on, I really do appreciate it!!
No thanks, i love my everyday life, especially with the internet. I don’t take it for granted, just thank my lucky stars. ❤️
There are things I would love from the good old days, but not enough to give up some of the new.
That is a blast from the past. I'm glad we have more modern things now.
