Robinson Preserve is a 487-acre preserve that has undergone an incredible transformation from disturbed farmland to coastal and wetland habitats. It has paddle and hiking trails, boardwalks, a 40 foot tall observation tower. It is a Native saltmarsh habitat that is now protected by the state.
"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away." unknown
There are many breathtakeing moments in the early AM in this preserve. color is everywhere, in the many birds and the tidal basins with natural grasses growing in profusion of colors.
Our lives can be enriched by wandering along trails feasting the eyes and ears on sights and sounds of Nature as it was intended to be.
My husband and I climbed to the top of the tower, Saturday morning and I noticed they have added a sign saying, protected by video cameras. We noticed vandalism on the corners of the carvings on the tower. When I see these signs of our Civilization, it makes me sad.

But sadness does not last long in this beautiful and peaceful tidal basin.

What beautiful colors, such a lovely place. The quotes were perfect too.

I went out one day, hoping to get some good photos and enjoy the preserve, but it was too hot...maybe now that the weather is cooler, I'll make it.
