Solomon likes to take a favorite painting and do it in small bits of painted wood.
Picasso is one of his favorites.
"My mother said to me, "If you are a soldier, you will become a general.
If you are a monk, you will become the Pope." Instead, I was a painter, and became Picasso" Pablo Picasso"I paint objects as I think them, not as I see them." Pablo Picasso
The above is a copy from a Lillian Shao painting and is my personal favorite. Made entirely from carved wood
The doors inside the castle are decorated with wooden paintings
True art is characterized by an irresistible urge in the creative artist. Albert EinsteinHoward Solomon is a true artist, he says he can not stop creating, he follows that irresistible urge and the world benefits from it.

Wow - fabulous! Great photos :o)
I wish I could see Solomons Castle for my self. Great photos Sandra.
Wow, there's really a lot to take in in that place, isn't there? Good thing you were able to take photos! Thanks again for sharing.
I'm still amazed that this man can create not only the structure, but the artwork.
Hi There Sandra, I'm trying to catch up today... Will take me forever!!!! ha....
Your trip to Solomon's Castle must have been fabulous. What an incredible man... Love the elephants, dragons, and EVERYTHING... Unbelievable....
Hope you have a wonderful week.
Hugs,
Betsy
The door is wonderful, and may be my favorite, even though the colors aren't as pretty as the first few paintings. Because someone is actually riding right through that door down a path to who knoows where? That woman's face, what are the eyes made of? Glass? Is something reflected in them? Much as I adored the first post, I think THIS one is my favorite now!! I could probably spend hours just looking at the pictures. Will they let you go places by yourself, or do you have to make an appointment and stay with a tour group?
Wow... these are awesome!!!
All of these are absolutely beautiful. I also would like to visit the castle one of these days.
These are awesome, I love the bold colors of the Picasso works. The door reminds me of a scene from something like The Nightmare Before Christmas. I could spend hours just looking at all of his artwork.
OK..this is just slightly different! So many facets to this guys work! I agree with you..the Lillian Shao - carving is out of this world! Well I will be checking back-
Have a great day Sandra!
