Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

Two Many Days at a Time by Rita Alshoaibi

There are two days in every week about which we should not worry.
Two days which should be kept free from fear and apprehension.
One of these days is yesterday, with its mistakes and cares,
its faults and blunders, its aches and pains.

Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control. All the money in
the world cannot bring back yesterday. We cannot undo a single act
we performed. We cannot erase a single word we said. Yesterday is gone!!

The other day we should not worry about is tomorrow,
with its possible adversities, its burdens, its large promise
and poor performance. Tomorrow is beyond our immediate control.
Tomorrow's sun will rise, whether in splendor or behind a mask of
clouds. But it will rise. Until it does we have no stake
in tomorrow, for it is yet unborn.

This leaves only one day: today.

Any man can fight the battles of just one day. It is when you and I add the burdens of two
awful eternities - yesterday and tomorrow, that we break down.It is not necessarily the experience of today that disturbs one's peace of mind. It is oftentimes the bitterness for something which happened yesterday and the dread of what tomorrow may bring.

Some of you might have noticed I have been playing with my blog design. What Fun! thanks to Lacoochee Kid for directing me to the new designer in Blogger. If you are interested, click on  link that provide the info and a video to watch. Check out my new Pet Design, there is LOTS to play with.

I am not finished by a long shot so don't be surprised if strange blog designs appear.
Another plus of the new page is it adds many more things to the tool bar when creating a new post.

I had some problems with your post downloading, not sure if it's my computer. I'll try again.

No problems on my end. I really like the blog and the overall design. Your blog is especially meaningful to me right now... not to worry about yesterday or tomorrow.... just for today.

No problems here, Sandra. Your blog looks great. I just don't have time to mess with mine --more than once a month... Where does the time go?????

I like your post. We all worry too much about things. My mother worried constantly. I swore to myself when I was younger that I wasn't going to worry about things I cannot do anything about. So far, I've done a pretty good job.

I will admit that this painful knee is worrying me a little. I'm not used to having pain...

Hugs,
Betsy

All of this is so true. I don't know WHY some people want to know the future, life is hard enough as it is in the present. What are those flowers?? I've not seen any like them. Someone else posted some on their blog, and told me what they are, but Ive already forgotten. They look like crepe paper.

I liked the coffee post too-I must must have my coffee each morning-my mug is more like your hubby's but I don't care what cup I use as long as I get the coffee : )

I like your new design and had no problems pulling it up. I also like your thoughts on yesterday and tomorrow.

Love the thoughts and the flowers, both are beautiful.

I love your background, that is very creative. Have fun playing with your designs. I keeping looking for something different but I really don't have time to make great changes right now. Maybe one of these days.

I completely agree with you in everything you said about yesterday, today and tomorrow. I think that we are all aware of it yet we use to forget it and always have something to worry about. This post is a beautiful and useful reminder as well as informative about new designer in Blogger. I’d love to find more time to change some thing on my blog too. You posted beautiful photos of really lovely flowers.
Thank you for visiting my blog and for your always nice and interesting comments. I do appreciate it a lot. :-)
