Yesterday's Mystery Plant is the unfurled leaf of an Elephant Ear and I tracked the unfurling over 9 days.

I apoligize for the over abundance of photos, I could not decide which to post.
I did not take a picture of the leaf from the top because it is a foot taller than my head and about 3 feet accross.

I really love time lapse photography, it's so fascinating. With nature in particular; I love watching things grow. Thanks for sharing, and I'm glad you posted them all!

Good grief! Again with the elephant ear! You must have put one up for guessing at least three times now. But every time it looks different, and I guess wrong!!! O.K. from now on, no matter what you put on, even if it looks like a STOVE, I will guess elephant ear!! I did not know they were curled up like that and then unfurled, I've never seen them in that stage, how beautiful and fascinating! The pictures are really something, especially with the sunlight, I know what you mean about not being able to choose!
I'm glad you posted all the photos, it is interesting to watch the leaf unfurl. Keep those mysteries coming, love 'em.
That is some leaf! It's hard to believe the size; no wonder it took several days to completely unfurl. Thanks for all pictures.
Wow---that is some HUGE leaf, Sandra... I enjoyed seeing it unwrap itself like it did... Very interesting.
