Can You Hear the Music?

This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalms 118:24
I like trees because they seem more resigned to the way they have to live than other things do. ~Willa Cather, 1913

The tree is more than first a seed, then a stem, then a living trunk, and then dead timber. The tree is a slow, enduring force straining to win the sky. ~Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Wisdom of the Sands, translated from French by Stuart Gilbert

The trees are whispering to me, reminding me of my roots, and my reach... shhhhhh... can you hear them? Selflessly sharing their subtle song. ~Jeb Dickerson

Beauty is in the eye of the Beholder, to me these dead palmetto fronds speak volumes and I see and see/hear music in their beauty.

This is rather pretty to me, and I love the black and white effects! The pictures are all in color, but the effects look partially monochromatic! There is more color as you get further down, it's a progression, like music. Did you do that on purpose? That actually makes it look rather biblical. Am I crazy or what? This immediatly made me think of King David!!! I think there were palm fronds in some of his stories? Then combine that with the music and his lyre.. I love this post!!!

It was interesting reading your post. I enjoyed and it seemed to me I could hear the trees whispering and the music.
Have a nice weekend!

I can always hear the music when I am in the outdoors, there are sounds everywhere. Beautiful photo of the palmetto fronds, they are still lovely.

Great post, Sandra..... Imagine being a big tree ---for hundreds of years.... Just think what that tree sees, hears, feels all around it... It (the tree) could write a book of its experiences as a tree!!!!!! Wouldn't that be neat???

Have a great Sunday.
Hugs,
Betsy
