Mystery Photo It is..........

Good Afternoon, I left home in barely daylight and went to a state park with a friend and just got home. Need to do a quick one today, since this OLD person is ready for a happy nappy. OF Course I got lots of Blog Fodder. I did this blog and the dog blog last night, I am a plan ahead person. the auto post does not work in new bloggers draft

What is this? What kind of plant and what is it doing?

Heck, I have no idea at all....Looks like some big leaves that are VERY thirsty....

I do have some good news from here. I found out this morning that I have abour 4 baby Bluebirds in the nextbox. I've been so distracted with this darn knee problem for the past month --that I hadn't even noticed the box. I'm just so excited....

I use the old Blogger editor --since it seems to work fine for me.

Hugs,
Betsy

ARG!!!! Another mystery picture, I'm just so bad at these! I don't think I've ever guessed one. In fact, I'm getting quite proud of my record of perfect losses! And I wouldn't want to ruin it now, it's a rare thing and something to be proud of. I'm so good at being bad. Honestly, I really love the mystery, though!! But that quote!!! It has got to be a joke? The man's name, and his pompous attitude, so funny! It does really suit us bloggers, though, doesn't it? Well, here's my guess, I know you will just laugh and laugh. But it really looks like Boston Lettuce! It has those really soft leaves of the same color. But you said it's doing something, and lettuce doesn't do anything but sit and then get eaten. Having said that, I know my loss today will set a record, so I'm satisfied with that. I'll be "The Biggest Loser", just like that T.V. show!

I'll have to admit I have absolutely no idea what plant this is. I'll definitely be back tomorrow to learn the answer!

I'm with Krista, it looks like an outer leaf of the cabbage plant. What is it doing? Auditioning for America's Got Talent?

I like the van Leeuwenhoek quote, it sounds like him. I did a research paper on his invention for a biology class.

Btw Sandra..I hope that little boy on your side bar is a family abduction (rather than a stranger) if you know what I mean. Sometimes they so? Makes me feel so sad to see them.

Ginny said 'lettuce doesn't do anything but sit and then get eaten'... Which led my thoughts in direction of the opposite, i.e. carnivorous plants. So my guess will be one of those - even if it doesn't look like any I've ever seen. On the other hand I don't think I've ever seen one except on TV.
