All the things you always wanted to know about the color Red and would not google the answer.

Red is the warmest of all colors.

Red is the color most chosen by extroverts and one of the top picks of males.
On the negative side red can mean temper or anger. In China, red is the color of prosperity and joy. Brides wear red and front doors are often painted red.

Red is Tuesday's color.
 Red roses symbolize passionate love.
Ruby rings should be worn on the left hand.
Red is the color of Mars. This planet is known as the God of War.

Red is associated with fiery heat and warmth. It can also mean danger (burning).
Red is the color of blood, and as such has strong symbolism as life and vitality.

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. 1 John 1:6-8

I know the header looks like Christmas, but I took this photo in my backyard over the week end and evidently the yard does not KNOW it is not Christmas.

Now I'm seeing "red"!! Thanks for the interesting post and beautiful photos. Also love that photo from yesterday--the mackerel sky. I'd never heard that before. I know there's an old saying about "red sky......" but can't remember the implications regarding the weather.

Best,
Bonnie

Red is the theme of our garden as the color seems to attract the hummers... or at least more so than others. But we have yellows and oranges and purples and blues and whites mixed in as well. It seems that pink is the only color I tried to stay away from and I really don't know why.

These are gorgeous flowers, probably zone 11 and 12 and not growable here.

Very cool (no, hot) red facts! And a great bible verse to go along with them! Funny, I never even thought of Christmas! I love the graphics!!! Love especially the way the red striping matches the picture! It reminds me of peppermint.
