Shades of Santa!

Shades of Santa! What's happening at the shelter?

Hi, this is Santa Skeeter reporting! Guess where I went on Saturday? Canine Christmas Festival!
It is a little embarrasing to have to share the limelight of Reporting on the Festival, but since someone had to hold my rope, my grand pop volunteered. and of course my personal photographer was there to grab it all for you.

Each year The Animal Network and Bishop Animal Shelter hold a fund raiser, Canine Christmas Festival with parades and raffles and lots and lots of K-9's.
I bet you are thinking What's a DONKEY doing at a Canine Do? See it was ok, cause they are rasing money for ALL animals in need. See the cats were not there, but they had a booth. (shh just so you know cats don't do well in parks with hundreds of dogs and 1 donkey)

there were booths for Safe Haven Animal Rescue, Canine Castaways, Lab Retreiver Rescue, Boxer Rescue, Dalmatian Rescue. (to many for me to list, but you see what I mean)

Santa Skeeter reporting on The Rest of The Story tomorrow! if you come back you might get your photo with Santa

What a great festival. With all the activities around this time of year, it's nice to see the animals remembered too.

Love it! I'm such an animal lover and love it when I see happy animals. I also believe in "smooch a pooch"!!

Your header is wonderful!!!!! I know how to change my header photo. I can't figure out how to do anything with the "title"--like making it larger or a different style print. If you have words of wisdom, I'd be appreciative.

Best,
Bnnie

I'm just wondering how much fun you had as a member of the Equine family with all of the Canine family??? Oh and did you get to Smooch a Pooch?

I really like your new header. Skeeter did a good job of reporting on the fund-raiser. The photographer did a good job as well.

Hi Sandra, I know that Skeeter was there with all of those dogs... BUT--did you and hubby take YOUR two dogs to the festival also?????? I hope so... I think your puppies are getting jealous of all of the time you spend with Skeeter.... They wrote me an email to tell me that.... SO--you'd better do something for your pups!!!!!

Hugs,
Betsy

My pooch has to go to the vet tomorrow... I think she has some heart failure and has been coughing at night, breathing fast and when she runs and gets too excited she has syncope or fainting spells... just two but that is two too many. I have no idea how old she is as she was rescued from a South Carolina kill shelter and brought up here. I pray she can find relief with some medication and that we will be together for at least a few more good years.

How sweet...I love the smootch a pooch and the minature donkey is darling. I'm sure that Santa will help bring in lots of money for a worthy cause.

What a wonderful event, raising money for our animal friends is always a good idea. Looks like Skeeter was a big hit.

Miss Cindi Lou says to tell you while she appreciates the cause she would not have been present. Kitties do not participate in any event where they are not the center of attention. She's a diva, what can I say?
