texture photography is any imagery that depends, at least partly, for its impact on the texture of the objects in the image and/or the way the light hits it.
Texture will be defined as the surface detail of an object. This detail can be composed of surface irregularities (such as the wood grain of an old plank)
or of small forms on a surface (such as a mass of roots from an ancient tree). in this case leaves on side walk and bench below
I found this definition on Ron Bigelow, there are many many more out there.

Great textures Sandra love them all
Love your pictures Sandra. I haven't had much time this week and also feeling a bit unsure how to define texture so I've not done my post yet.
I can actually FEEL all the different textures. Sandie
fantastic captures!
it's really hard to pick a favourite.
great texture and composition, too!!

What you don't come up with! I love it! You are SO creative with that camera....you can see what others miss....well done, my friend!
Wow!! Love the leaves on the bench and the old broom, and the construction shadows, that is really a find!! Looks like a church being built? But my favorite is the brick wall shadows, beautiful!
Lots of gorgeous textures, Sandra.... Thanks for sharing so many possibilities...
Hope your back is better.
Hugs,
Betsy

Hi Sandra..the bricks and leaves are so pretty..love the warm gold tones!!
I'm still not quite together as far as blogging..just wanted to stop in and say boo- that I didn't forget about you!! I'm working on a garden so you could say I'm digging more than shooting (lol). Still, I may post a little something for the weekend though? (hugs)
Bravo! Those are great texture shots.
I'm off to take a nap. Four a.m. weddings take their toll on me. I need to rest up for tonight's festivities at the palace!!
Best,
Bonnie
fantastic shots ....
Great job Sandra.
Amazing finds!
Really cool images. I think you got texture down pat, Sandra. Love the different takes on it.
Excellent examples of texture. Your photos are always great. I think I need to get out and do some practicing with my camera :)
What a great job you did with that topic.
I think you have the hang of textures, those are great shots. I love the textures and the shadows in your first photo. The little broom is my other fav.
The old broom, my mum used to use this kind of broom.
I love the first photo best, the shadow patterns are just beautiful! it looks like some piece of artwork.
I like your block of wood. light does make all the differenc.
Impossiblte to pick a favourite! They are all just perfect for the topic and the photography is superb.
