Pencil me Cute

The Real ME..... 2 years old. I made my eyes green in the pencil sketch because they are green.
Sandra Back IN the Early Forties Sometime

If you want to become a pencil artist, make the sketch light, print on card stock and go at it with your pencil or pen or charcoals.... I tried it on the dog sketch and it looks pretty good.

Pencil Sketch in Photoshop 7.... Short Tutorial
Open photo
Create Duplicate layer
Click on bottom layer and Crl Shift U to de-saturate to black and white... or how ever you do it.
Click on top layer and Crl shift U, same as above  (make the layers black and white, your choice of how)
Crtl I to invert
Click on top layer, go up to down arrow in blending mode. Color Dodge and photo turns white
Go to filters/Gaussian blur and drag it until it looks right
to make it sharp use Dodge and Burn tools. Burn makes it darker and Dodge lighter.
I found it works better to save the pic as a JPEG and then reopen it to use the Dodge/Burn tool

Aw, you were just he cutest little toddler. I love those green eyes in both the sketch and the photo.

Have you ever noticed that Mallards always seem to be smiling? The smile really shows up in the sketch.

Your childhood photo is adorable with those beautiful green eyes, Sandra.
I love the all the wonderful sketches you created.
Maybe I should give PS a whirl but I have heard it isn't easy to learn.

I love those ringlets!!

So far, I just use the photo application on my IMAC but have thought about Photoshop. You have Photoshop 7?
Do you like it?

Best,
Bonnie

Great job on those sketches. You are an adorable little girl. I have some pictures of me as a young girl and keep wanting to something special with them in Photoshop. This might just be what I should do.

You REALLY have green eyes? Oh how wonderful! Green eyes fascinate me. Not that I've seen any (probably) in real life... Come to think of it.

See how rare they are?

See how lucky you are?

:-)

Do you wear lots of green, to bring them out, so to speak? Green stone earrings? Green scarf around your neck? Etc. Oh, to me, the possibilities are endless.

Guess I'm just hung-up-on individuality. And you have such marvelous individuality, built in. With your green eyes!!!!

Love those green eyes! The artful pencil tinkering is up my alley. How CUTE are you?! I think you should put that photo on the wall somewhere. Make note pads out of it, or create postage stamps with that little girl grin. Thanks for sharing this post with us.
