Color This AMAZING!

In spite of our Silly Squirrels (I will no print what Bob  calls the little rascals) you can see the last bounty from the tree on our counter this week.

Can you guess what this is? It is Amazing and the first we have ever seen.

It is the seed that was in this three pounder, if you enlarge you can see where the roots of the seed were starting to come out the top of the fruit. If this was planted in the ground, we would have another TREE and I don't want the one we have....
Perspective shot
BTW I DID LOOK AT EVERY SINGLE POST THAT WAS IN MY READER FOR THE PAST TWO DAYS, SO I DID NOT MISS ANYTHING. HAD A GREAT WEEKEND OFF

But if you plant another tree there will be one for you and Bob and one for the squirrels. Of course the squirrels would think both trees were for them. It's a squirrel thing.

Wow, the seed is massive!! I like the squirrel, they're cute even though they are scavangers, getting to everything it seems. You really have to look hard here to see them, however I saw one the other day while out walking but they are so quick.
enjoy your day!

Glad you took some time off, Sandra. It's good to do that every now and again! I cannot imagine having my very own avocado tree. Why do you not want it in your yard?

Love the colors and textures.. and the heart in your hand, Sandra.

I love avocados! That was a seed you held in your hand?

Good grief, look at that seed!!!

And if I were there, I'd fight that squirrel for the avocados. They look wonderful!

Cute little squirrel :)

That seed is huge. I can understand why you wouldn't want another similar tree in your yard. We have the same problem with oak trees in our yard. I'll bet Bob uses some of the same words to describe squirrels that I use.

quick! send that seed to sweetmarie so she can plant it! (just kidding - no idea if she likes avocados.)

Hi Sandra, while I enjoy avocados (once in a while) it's easier to buy them at the stores vs. having a tree as you have already noted. Wonder if the squirrel enjoyed his treat.

Look at you floating in that leaf! I love your banner! Love the squirrel pic too but I'm sorry he's in competition with you for the loot. LOL. That's quite a seed! Wow. I'd have to plant it just to see what happens. Glad you had a great, well-deserved weekend off. HugZ!

Amazing! The squirrels are relentless when they want something.

Just think what a wonderful tree that would make.... ha ha ... You, of all people, don't need more trees!!!! BUT--maybe someone would enjoy it... Did you offer it to a friend??????

Hope you did have a good weekend. We may get some snow tonight....
Hugs,
Betsy

You have me curious about what Bob calls the squirrels....lol
That is some seed. I never would have guessed that's what it was

I'll bet Jake and Baby don't like those pesky squirrels in their yard at all! lol Right now the squirrels around here are gathering up nuts for the winter. It's funny seeing them run across the road with a walnut that is bigger than their heads! I suppose your squirrels don't have to do that since it is warm there all year round. Always something growing for them to eat. I can't believe that would be tree. You probably can't find anyone who would want it either.

Hi Sandra! That's an amazing avocado. Thanks for showing us as I was wondering whether there would be a massive stone inside and that was a surprise to see those innards.
I was going to have a week off from blogging due to child care commitments, but I couldn't stay away for that long! Take care over there, Sandra.
Thinking of you.

WOW ... You got one to grow that big?
I have tried to grow some but they didn't survive.
They are expensive in the store where I live so grow and sell them yummy green things. lol
