What is up with the weather???

I was sitting here at the desk at 3 PM today, Wed. January 9, 2013 and glanced down at the weather gadget. It is 86 degrees, what is up with our weather. we have been waking up to 69 and going in the 80's....
January is our coldest of the year and I want my cool weather....

Pics borrowed from FL govt site on coyotes.

Above is a Florida Fox Below is a Florida Coyote, we have both here in our little city, IN the city limits,
we saw one of these this week coming home from the YMCA at 6;30 AM
I say I saw a fox, bob says he saw a Coyote....

Whichever wild critter it was, it was breathtaking to see him in the middle of a street 2 blocks from home..

speaking of our street, this is Kay and Dick, they live across the street from us and have for 23 years. while looking through old folders of people not my family, that is what the folder is named, I found this and Kay said I could share it. several years ago they were headed out to a party and wanted me to take a photo. and of course I DID

and speaking of a FOX, isn't Kay Foxy?

We're having a relatively warm winter too but the last two days have rained all day long! Both days, that is!

Okay girl - Kay is foxy. Did you see the foxes eye? He looked wild to me. We have them in our neighborhood and they eat cats around here. you have so much fun - but it is hot there. Is your pool open all year round?

A great picture indeed!

It's good to know your neighbors.

Its hard to tell the difference between the critters. My Fox doesn't look like that he has blonde hair and has just had his first haircut.
Your neighbours look loads of fun. It is good to have friendly neighbours.
Don't talk to us about weather at the moment. Heatwaves, drought and bush fires.

I have seen yellow bells, weeping willows and tulips in the past few days. Strange weather for sure.

Love the photos of your neighbors.

We had a fox that showed up every spring at the old house and had babies. They looked just like puppies!

When my daughter and I went to Niagara Falls a few years ago, we saw a fox in the middle of downtown, I have his picture to prove it!

Is Arizona the only place that's cold? 29 Friday night and high of 48 are predicted. Sorry, I think hubby is right, it is a Coyote!! Watch your small animals, they are part of the food chain.

Well, my first comment went bye-bye. Will try again. What I said was that the animals are hard to tell apart. That your neighbors look like a lot of fun. And that's it's a bit warmer than normal here, too. I'm hoping it will rain, we need it badly.

Didn't know they existed down there! And that weather? Unusual but we're coming down soon so better than the temps up here.

Kay is one foxy lady! I've heard that we might have coyotes near our house but haven't ever seen one. We live in the woods where you would expect to see one!

The weather is CRaZy! I'd say it is because Old Man Winter is flirting with Sizzling Summer! lol We are supposed to get in the 50's and possible 60's this weekend! One day is might be 24 and the next 50! I think that is why everyone is staying sick this year!

We had a high of nearly 60 today and then it started dropping, it's about 37 right now.
I know that there are a lot of grey and red foxes down your way and the grey's can have red in their coats. I can see lots of difference in these two photos but if all you had was a quick glance it would be hard to tell.
They are a cute couple.

Well you know my friend...if we could just figure out how to share each other's weather we would have perfect temperatures. We have heavy snowfall warnings out for today...like we need more snow...oh if I could figure out out to control the weather I would be a very wealthy woman! :)

Yes, I'd say Kay looks very foxy! :-) We have lots of coyotes in our neck of the woods. Wily there looks pretty cute.

If you are this warm in Jan., what will summer be like? -sigh-

Let's see, a wolf is larger than a coyote, right?

I'd like to see a wolf, but don't want to see any such animals, where I live. In the daylight.

We get bears around these parts... But so far, not in my yard. -chuckle- In the college campus, across the street, is way close enough for me. ,-)

Lovely neighbours - Mr.and Mrs Fox not the coyote/fox. We are not keen on urban foxes who live in our semi-rural area, but I wouldn't want to harass them as some folk do. (Our grand-daughter was looking after her friend's pet rabbit when she was on holiday
and a fox came in the night, managed to open the cage that was outside the back door and you can guess the rest).

What can I say? :D

You've reinvented your header again and the sepia color looks really awesome! You take care, Ms Sandra and stay warm always!

Yes indeed Kay is foxy and they look like such a fun couple too.

Your fox/coyote are beautiful.
We had a fox in our yard last May several days in a row. Mom thinks it was a mama fox who had babies back in the woods and she was hunting for squirrels and birds.

They look really cool, just like they are in the 20's. Okay, I thought it is usually pretty hot in Florida, and warm in the winter...you need a cold tub and a hot tub!

The weather is indeed strange. In the past Michigan would be looking forward to a January thaw praying we would not need to shovel any more snow.... Now Their is nothing to thaw... and have only had to shovel at Christmas. last year after finding a poor little caterpillar on my deck this time of year we had a unseasonably early and summer like Spring. Today I found another caterpillar. We usually do not see a caterpillar till April. Tomorrow it is suppose to be 65. :-/
