Bob uses 1 teaspoon of sugar in his cup of coffee. This mustard jar has been our Sugar Jar since 1985. The Jelly jar holds my powdered creamer.
In my role of Wonderful Wife , I keep the jar full. Wed. AM, I picked up the full jar and said
"YUCK" what happened to this jar?"
bob said:
"I MAY have done that!"
Here's what happened:
Bob found the clean, empty jar and filled it himself, spilling sugar down the sides and DID NOT WIPE IT OFF... ..
Overnight, the sugar hardened causing my "YUCK" comment

What do you store your sugar in? and your creamer?

Neither of us use sugar in our coffee so it stays in a large container. We use half and half in our coffee and it stays in the refrigerator. Right now I'm having my first cup of coffee and wondering if you got that sugar off the jar yet!!
Best,
Bonnie
I quit buying sugar when John became diabetic. I have several sugar packets in a baggie for guests should they need sugar for tea or coffee. I use half and half and keep it in the frig. Jars are great for keeping stuff fresh - if the husband remembers to wipe them off!!!
Oh Bob. :)
Ouch!! Can imagine the touch of that, have you gotten it off yet? Just having my lunch break
good thing no ants.
I store the same as you do, everything in recycled jars.
we gotta love our hubby's, they do some funny stuff.
Well it only took me forty years to decide that one of those large plastic bottles you find at Target is a better sugar store-er than the paper sack the sugar comes in and rips with usage and sugar falls out and you have to keep cleaning it up to keep the ants out....gasssp!
Creamer? Don't use it much but I love it in hot chocolate. It stays in the jar it came in.
Did not wipe it off?? That man needs to go to remedial kitchen training. :-) It is interesting how we use certain things like that for years and years. I keep baking soda in a vintage jar with one of those lids that has a wire fastener on the top. No idea why, except that I like it. I have a sugar shaker which we almost never need to refill and we don't even have creamer in the house. We do have milk, but only when our son's family is here. I do keep almond milk on hand and of course it's in the refrigerator. There's something else, can't remember at the moment what it is, that I keep in an old bouillion (sp??) jar.
Like your new header! and the cartoon character that you incorporated into it. :-)))
OH MAD SNAPPER YOU WALKED RIGHT INTO THIS ANSWER....
I, MADI, STORE MY SUGAR UNDER MY WHITE FLUFFY CHIN....AND I ONLY SHARE IT ON SPECIAL DAYS.
SINCERELY MADI (I CRACK MYSELF UP)
PS MOM SAID TO TELL YOU SHE DRINKS HER COFFEE BLACK!!
don't use creamer.
sugar - i put in a tin canister, but i've been getting tiny bugs this year so i know it's not completely 'proof'. :)
Same jar we have used for 47 years. We don't use much sugar only when I bake cookies or cakes...which really is never!
I LOVE your Snapper and Bob stories!!! Actually this is really GOOD, that he would go and fill it himself and not ask you to do it. But honestly, when the men try to do this kind of thing, it usually ends up making us more work than if we did it ourselves in the first place. You always have such nice jars, and ever since I first read abut it, I am on the lookout in the grocery store for them! But nothing I use comes in pretty jars!! Tiny bottles of iced tea make nice little vases and I have saved a few. I am still on the lookout. I have lined them up behind the dish drainer under the window and Phil continues saying "These should NOT be here because they will dump over, why do you have them, you are not doing anything with them?? I say "For the same reason the we need more than one pair of black pants."
We keep our sugar in a hard brown paper bag, and I make vanilla sugar, buy storing vanilla pods in a glass jar with regular sugar!

Men! That sounds like something my hubby would do...if he ever would refill anything, that is. I think he's allergic to kitchen duties. :) I keep my sugar in a plastic container.
I use an old tin canister for sugar. Have no creamer.
Do have a row of pretty coffee jars from years ago holding dry beans, macaroni, brown sugar, salt, rice, flour and other odds and ends.
Sounds like something a man would do. :) I keep the bag of sugar in the refrigerator and keep the sugar bowl full. And the creamer stays in the container it comes in. :)
I have two air tight tin canisters which I use for tea and sugar. We don't use creamer.
We only use sugar for baking which I haven't done in a long time since I'm trying to be sugar free. As far as creamer goes I like fresh creamer but right now I am dairy and caffeine free! I never liked the powder creamer but I know lots of people who love it.
well wasn't that nice of him to be so helpful...lol
My sugar is in an apothecary jar and my creamer is in it's original container in the frigde
we don't do coffee here, but I do keep the sugar in a recycled plastic canister!!
We use coffee cans that have been around a while because coffee comes in plastic now.
At least he filled the jar.
Why is it when our guys try to be helpful they usually make more work for us? We love 'em anyway.
We both drink our coffee black but I have a small air-tight container filled with sugar in case it's needed. I think it has been in my cabinet untouched since 2011.
we store sugar in a ziplock bag in the refrigerator...it doesn't get used much...mainly for cooking...
We don't use sugar in coffee...but I keep my sugar for baking/cooking in a sterlite plastic 'thing.'
As for creamer, we buy the big generic creamer, but have the smaller container with the opening in the lid that we keep and refill from the bigger container.
My creamer is liquid so the icebox. Mt sugar in the yellow container - plastic I buy it in. I try to use NuNaturals for my tea and it comes in it's own container. Sandie
i usually drink my coffee black, but i store sugar in jars such as yours. i only use sugar for baking. in any case, when it comes to sugar, i usually skip it...
p.s. sorry for the late comment.
Things like that happen around here all the time. I follow behind cleaning off and on from rising until retiring every day. :) We would have had a kitchen full of ants if sugar had been left on a jar here. I had not thought of storing it in jars...great idea. We don't use much sugar so a jar would work great. Hugs
This made me laugh. My hubby can be oblivious to sticky stuff. Is it the effect of that Y chromosome?
