Canine Christmas 2013

Saturday morning I drove the new Kia to the Canine Christmas Festival 2013. Kia baby had to park in grass and dirt.. oh nooooo

MadSnapper was madly snapping this beauty named Mika. She was so beautiful, I showed the photo to her mom. She said, Can I buy a copy? I said No, but if you give me your email, I will send you all the photos of her. The daddy handed me a Five, I said, no charge, my Friend Rich said, take it and donate to one of the rescues. I took the Five. they loved the 7 photos I sent them.

My friend Rich loves Husky's, these are for you Rich.

This little sweetie above was so sweet, and the muzzle is for training him to walk. I heard HI, how is Jakers (her pet name for Jake) and there at the end of his leash was the Vet Assistant that takes care of our pups.. She said her 6 year old daughter is training this pup.

If Jake would allow another dog in the house, the beauty above that says adopt me would now be on our sofa.. He loved babies, kids, small and large dogs and walked like a dream on the leash. he is at the County Animal Control and his time is almost up...

I found the Beagle rescue and this pup named Skipper captured my heart.. he needs a home to... the Five dollars went in the Beagle Rescue Jar.

Great photos! It breaks my heart that some won't get a new home in time.

They are all precious. Your photos are terrific. Wish I could save them all.

Aww Aww and more awws
I think every humane compassionate loving farm with room should adopt at least 3 rescue dogs and every family at least one ...hmm would that help ? Well just thinking out loud I guess.
I love them ALL.

Oh, these make me want to cry...just cannot stand to go in a humane shelter. Always end up crying and being out of sorts.

The dogs all look so sweet.
I hate when I have to park on dirt!

You did many good deeds that day. Your Kia will get over it.

Mika is so Beautiful!!! I want to hug them all!!! I always donate, but I can't attend events like this. I'll end up crying and adopting. Jake needs to share his mommy. :)

What a fun day. The first one reminded me of my chocolate labs. They were both such sweet dogs.
Pluto is gorgeous. It's a shame Jake has put his paw down about other animals :)

What a beautiful bunch of pooches! It would be hard to go home without one of them, I bet. That boxer would be my pick. I have a soft spot for them.

Oh that boy Pluto would be in my lap too! Sandra!... :)JP

Sweet captures of the dogs needing homes.
You really are a softie...

They are all adorable. Those are great photos of Mika, she is gorgeous. I have people offer me money when I'm delivering cats after the events sometimes and I never turn it down. I say thanks and tell them it's going straight back to our cause.

You said Pluto's time is about up, does that mean your animal control is NOT a no kill facility? That is terrible.

Endearing beauties all.

Ahhh---isn't it hard to go home without ALL of those dogs needing to be adopted... I'm sure I'd want to take them all home!!!!

Great set of photos. Did your Kia enjoy the trip? Have you named her yet????

Hugs,
Betsy

Sandra, you are brave! I cannot handle it when I even see a lost dog on the street. I always want to stop and help and of course PH won't hear of it. My daughter has ended up with five dogs now that she is trying to find homes for. I know that Mele is my last pet. I am too old to get another animal..I don't want to leave my dog to anyone else to care for..or take to the pound after I am gone.

My daughter has a little dog named Pepper. Pepper would not let another dog around either but eventually they did get another dog and had a trainer come to the house and work with Pepper. Now the two dogs live happily in the same household. I guess there are dog trainers out there that can do that. First time I even heard of it being done..except on TV. :)
The five dollars went to a wonderful cause.
Good for you. The dogs are just beautiful!! Great pictures! :)

Oh my, such beautiful doggies! I wish we could have a dog, but with all these kitties it's not possible. Glad you took the money to donate it to such a good cause!

All of these portraits are really good. I hope all the dogs up for adoption did in fact find homes.
