Tragedy Averted

Standing in the kitchen, I saw this....
and out came the zooooooommm lens and
Soooooooooooooo I walked around the pool to get a closer view and you know The Rest Of The Story...

Several days ago, I heard a ROARRRRR in the living room...

Bob just came in from the garage and flipped on TV to watch the History channel until dinner, which is his daily thing to do. both channel 25 and 1125 which is basic and digital HD, same channels, were GONE gone off my TV not even in the pick list, he was ROARING and acting like we had been attacked by aliens.

"the History Channel is GONE! where is the HISTORY CHANNEL?"

I dialed 611, our cable provider answered, I said we have an emergency.. the History Channel is gone.... I was laughing, he started laughing and said they moved it to 54 and 1154... ask him to see if he has it. He did, I thanked the guy and said you have averted a tragedy... I could hear him laughing when I hung up

Very pretty! My roses are still blooming, even after a couple of 30ish degree nights. Beautiful to see the splash of color.

Like a lot of other guys, I take it Bob doesn't know how to dial a phone.

That is an absolutely gorgeous hibiscus! And I'm with Bob - if we had cable, it would be only to get the History Channel!

Bob Appleseed should be thankful he has a wife who keeps her cool in emergency situations!

Oh the crazy tragedies in our lives... It's the little things that we get so upset about. We seem to be able to handle the big problems much better than we do the little ones...

I thought you were going to say that you fell in the pool!!!!!!! ha ha

Great photos.
Hugs,
Betsy

Enjoyed your pictures. It is amazing how attached we get to our cable channels and I know exactly how he felt!

I'm so glad to hear you keep your cool in emergency situations. I saw your note about the typhoon. I had no idea, I guess haven't watched TV or read the news online. That's just terrible. I have blogger friends there and know many who must have relatives living there. I have to find out more.

That happened here when our satellite company could not negotiate with the local station that shows Two and a Half Men! There was much roaring! Thankfully, they were able to settle!!. Love the hibs this morning :-)

Thank you, Sandra! Jim loves the History Channel and watches it a lot. You have stopped a strange howling that would have happened here. I will check it out for the old boy!

Your hibiscus is stunningly gorgeous. I need to follow through with my wishes and get a hibiscus bush. Three houses away from us has a bright red one in their front yard. Oh..it is beauty.

Thanks for the letting us in on the emergency phone call. Funnier than heck! I am still laughing
!!!

That is no laughing matter. Serious and un explained disappearance's should go out to cell phone alert.
LOL

Thankfully there were no further problems. :) My dad is equally easily disturbed when it comes to his sports channels.

Love your flowers! They're my favorite color. :)
We no longer have cable. Hubby is starting to miss his sports. lol

And thanks for the heads up on the History Channel - we will have that same problem here as well.

Oh no, the case of the missing channels. I'm glad to hear the master sleuth, MadSnapper, was on the case and solved the mystery. Our cable company used to do that to us too. The satellite service has taken channels off a couple of times because they were at odds with the owners of the channel.

I love your beautiful flowers.

Ha! I thought you must have fell in the pool. My hubby would die if his favorite channels went out. He's as addicted to it as I am to my computer. :)

That is a beautiful flower!

I'm glad that a major crisis was averted, although I think it is unusual that they would move the History channel without telling you.

Pretty red flowers and amusing anecdote !

not much color out my window any more so I love looking at yours.
That is so annoying when they switch locations of a channel. You would think they would flash something across the screen for a few day letting people know it's going to happen

Makes me wonder why the cable people insist on changing everything around. They could at least warn people. ;)

Glad Bob found the History channel so you don't have a continuous roar at your home. lol Beautiful plant...hibiscus? Hugs

Too funny about the History Channel :) And your flowers are beautiful!

We have this kind of tragedy often enough...only it is not just a simple thing of them changing the channel...we lose all our channels. Always right when we are really watching something....

Very pretty flowers :) I'm glad the History channel only moved place.
