Follow the Sunbeams and random thoughts

Every morning I wait to see what the morning sun will highlight in my kitchen.

As I stood patiently waiting in the line at the grocery store, A very elderly man, much older than even ME, put three 12 packs of coke /soda on the belt. The cashier said these are on sale today buy 3 get one free.
He said I know, that is what I want to do. She said where is the one you want for free? you need a forth one.
He said "it's buy 3 get 1 free"
The cashier smiled and sent the bag boy to get the fourth one.

Chalk up one for the English Language  in the confusion column.
It made perfect sense when I was explaining it to Bob.
Buy 3 and get one free could mean, when you buy 3 one of them is free..

We were NOT in Wal-Mart and I wanted to say for the money you just spent you could have gotten 4 for 5 dollar less, any day of the week.

Lots of folks knock Walmart, but price definitely has its appeal for our budget-conscious household..

Your morning light is lovely. And yes, the language can be confusing.

Buy 3 get one free usually means what the old man understood. At least it's that way here.

The sunlight through the window casts beautiful patterns on the wall.

Your window shots are beautiful! Love the last one, too.

I can understand the old guy's thinking, does that make me old, too?

That is a bit confusing! LOL!
I must confess - I will usually pay a few dollars more if I can avoid going to Wal-mart. My MOST unfavorite store. Hate Wal-mart. :(

That could be confusing. But glad he got his fourth. Loving your sunshine!

I never thought of it possibly being interpreted that way. I haven't been buying much coke lately, it's gotten so expensive

I love the shot of Neptune, er I mean Bob, with the light reflecting on the wall behind him.

I guess I worked in the grocery trade too long, I had never thought of it that way. I suppose the correct wording would be "buy 3, get the 4th one free". If I were still in the business my notes would have read, B3GO.

I wish the sun would shine here so I could see it come thorough my windows.

The English language sure is s funny, isn't it? I would hate to learn it as my second language. ;))
