Noodles and Poetry and blogger friends

I found this idea on Chatty Crones blog... My Kia door bumps hubbies work bench, I bought a pool noodle with a hole in the center, Bob cut it half way and just popped it on the work bench, no glue needed... perfect bumper
Don't you think lavender is perfect for a garage?

Gail at the farm is a blogger friend. We have found we are so very much alike and have bonded into friends. She is a poet and has been encouraging me to try writing. Last week in an email I stated I just can't do it, she said but you are an artist, talking about photos. I sent her this sentence, There was a poet and an artist
and said write a poem using this line.

And she did....

There was a poet and an artist
Who met by accident
Their friendship grew
They finished each other sentences.

One lived on the ocean
The other on a hill
They became fast friends
Better than Jack and Jill

and with  her pushing me I wrote one on Happiness is this week.

I am honored!!! I don't think I'm a poet. You don't think you're an artist. Another think we have in common.

I love the lavender.

I first read your title as "blogging fiends"!! I was intrigued but think I was happy to realize the word was "friends". Don't know how I missed your poem but went back and read it. Kudos!

Best,
Bonnie

I, too, had missed the poem. Blogging is a blessing as we meet those we have so much in common with.

I like the use of the pool noodle to protect your car door.

The way we meet each other, from all parts of the earth is really fascinating and always makes me happy.

Sandra, I read the poem, but blogger wouldn't let me leave a comment there, so here I am. Boy, what a multi-talented woman you are. I guess with a mind as creative as yours, you can do practically anything. That poem was so great ~ can we have some more, every now and then?

Purple lover, checking in! :)

I used to be told I was artistic, because of my photography (when I complained that although my mother had two sisters that were painters by profession, and I couldn't get past 6 year old stick figures so the genes hadn't been passed down to me.) LOL Photography IS an art, and you excel at it, so perhaps there are other venues to express it. As my vision has gotten worse and the cost of great photographic equipment has exceeded my budget, I have looked for other ways to express my artistic bent. But you gotta do what you love, or it won't be art. ;)

I've dabbled in poetry over the years and have written several poems. I have to be inspired first, however.

Noodles are quite useful. I needed something to put on the edge of my mom's bed at her facility. She kept hitting her legs on them. Of course it is winter..can't find noodles up here. I bought pipe insulation at Lowe's it was already cut and worked perfectly.
I think your happiness poem was beautiful..Poetry about things you love is the best

Aren't blog friends just SO special? I have several --and it's amazing what good friends we have really become --even if I haven't met them personally yet. It does help to meet them though --to totally bond that friendship. Hope you and Gail meet sometime.

Did you see Ruth's blog last night??? She posted close-up photos of an orange --and it reminded me of something you would enjoy doing (if you haven't already done that)...

Hugs,
Betsy

Clever idea! I may need to use a pool noodle as well.
Blog land is wonderful! You've been like another mom to me and we haven't met yet. Lol. And I'm grateful!

Hello Sandra....How are you doing? I think I saw on television that you guys were safe from the really bad col and freezing ice.

You keep on writing. Each post is a work of art. I could never do it. You can and from what I have seen and read...you enjoy it, too.

Take car of you and hubby,
Susannah

I think the noodle is a great idea...good to see it in action. I think all garages should have a touch of purple or pink in them LOL Friends are irreplaceable. The two of you seem to have a fun and healthy bond...like my Sue and I.

Clever use of a pool noodle, Sandra. Only problem here would be trying to find one in winter and then, of course, we would need a garage as well. Enjoyed your poetry as well.

Roger can sit and write poems like your friend...but he just does it every now and then. Like the couple for Lorelei...and he had a buddy retire. Right as we left for the party, he sat and wrote a poem.

That's a great use for a noodle! I wish I could put one on my car door because it swings out so wide and I'm always bumping something. Oh, I haven't scraped anyone elses car yet, but it is a wonder. :)

I think blogging is wonderful and I love all my blog friends even though we've never met in person. I remember your happiness poem and thought it was terrific!

It's nice to know the inspiration for your Happiness poem. Blogger friends are indeed special.

What a great idea. I have always used pipe insulation and never thought about the pool noodles. But I am even more impressed that you can park a car in your garage. We have a huge double car garage that has only seen one of our cars years ago. No space available, too many projects.

Love Gail's poem from your prompt.

Your Happiness poem reads like a rap song, I'm sure some young rapper out there could put a good tune to it. lol

That is a great idea to protect your car door from the work bench. Lavender or any color I think would be fine for the garage. Good job on the poem...more please! Hugs
