Tale of Two Fingernails

Our bedroom window at 8 AM

Info you might someday need...

If you happen to open your car door in the rain and the handle is slippery, and your fingernails on 2 fingers slip off ripping the nails backward, this is info to file in your memory bank.

Two of my nails were bent backward and  torn on both sides below the quick line... I trimmed the nails to nothing,

Bob coated the cracks and under the nails with his magic C.A. Glue. This happened two weeks ago and now my nails are out past the cracks and back to normal.

Glue sure trumps the band aids I used in the past.

Bob flies his plane for FUN which gives me 3 hours of FUN alone and now the Glue has saved me pain.
PLUS.....Just in case you have no CA glue which cost 10.50 per ounce you can use Elmer's Glue.  4 days ago, the glue was wearing off and I  dropped Elmer's glue on it and that worked also.

That is a clever clever fix-it. Ouch on bending the nails back. I like your photos a lot. A pretty shadow scene to wake up to and candle flames can be mesmerizing.

I used this method before myself. I used the sticky tape you normally use for bandages. Worked out great and the nail healed nicely.

Good Morning, Thanks for the glue tip. My thumbnail has a split down the middle and I'm going to try this.

I love the shadows of the leaves. What scent do you enjoy of Glade?

Oh!!! That hurt me just to READ it!!!
Good to know, though, about the glue!
Love your candle! 21 days to September 1st!!!
Hope it is not as hot there as it is here!
I notice you don't have curtains and such on your bedroom window. I guess that's because you guys get up before daylight! Our windows are layered with all manner of coverings to keep the light OUT!! At 106 degrees - every bit helps keep the heat from coming in any more than it does!
Happy Monday, Sandra!!! You are one of my very favorite people! I never know what you're going to write about but I always know it will be interesting!!

OUCH. I hate it when I do that. Then it never fails that nail keeps getting caught on things. Next time I'll try the glue trick.

Ouch that sounds painful. Glad it's healing nicely. I love the shadows on your window...

Bob is a problem solver, a natural engineer. :) I have ripped my nails like that before and it usually hurts. Lately my nails have been stronger, something in my diet. :) If it happens again I will try glue! :)

Glad this little trick worked for you. Nothing worse than a torn nail that gets caught on everything imaginable until it grows out.

How about duct tape? Just kidding!
