Yhprum's Law Came to visit

You are all familiar with Murphy's Law, the one is you are in a acre parking lot and there is one piece of gum on the pavement, your shoe will find it. Or if your toast falls off the table, it WILL land jelly side down..

Baby Girl, woke up Monday with black gunky stuff oozes from her ear. We doctored for 24 hours, still oozing. I called the vet and the only opening they had was next day 10:45 and I said see you then. I went to the kitchen to write on the calendar and OH NO... my mammogram is at 8:45.

I freaked because sometimes I am in and out in and hour and sometimes it is 2. All day I kept thinking, change the vet? change the mammo? wait and see and take vet phone with me to call if we can't get there.

You know Freaking OUT in my head because I do believe in Murphy's Law and have been his recipient many times.

The Day Came, I decided to go early and hope for the best. The lady at the front desk, said come on back and sit down and I need your license and health card.

She looked in the computer and said "you are really early, your appt. is at 8:45"

"I know, but my dog is sick and has to go the vet and I hoped you could get me out by 9:45"

"You are in luck, these ladies did not go the meeting and I will get you in NOW"

She handed me the paper to sign and said while you verify and sign that I will fill this one out for you and she did. The tech took me back and at 8:20 I was walking out the door.

The tech and the front desk both said, I hope Baby is Ok..Dog people KNOW...
I was home at 8:30, 15 mintues before my 8:45 appt..

But Wait! There's more.... it is a 20 minute 10 mile drive to the vet, we came to the bridge between us and the Vet and Police Cars are everywhere on top of the bridge, One zooms past me, and I said

OH NO, they will close the bridge, someone must have jumped off... Bob said no, the bridge is not high enough...We got across the bridge and it closed behind us.

We walk in the vet office at 10:30 and she says bring her on in, he is ready for you..
What? we get to go in 15 minutes before our appt?

Baby's ear is an easy fix, antibiotics in infected ear for 10 days

We leave and I say, I think I will go the other way, the bridge might still be closed.
Bob says no it will be open.
IT WAS...
We walk in the door and the message on the phone is from my doctor and it says your mammo if fine, see you in a year.... this has never happend to me, the mammo result 3 hours after the test?

Bob and I both had blood work done, Monday AM and Tuesday, 25 hours after the message came all is well, your blood is perfect...

I checked my email and it said..YOUR CAMERA is out with Fed X for Friday

I say to Bob, there has to be a law that is the opposite of Murphy's Law because it just happened.
Per Google Search it is
THE DAY WAS SO PERFECT WE WENT OUT FOR PIZZA WHICH MEANT NO COOKING FOR ME....

Yhprum's Law is the opposite of Murphy's Law, "anything that can go wrong will go wrong" and is in fact Murphy backwards.

I'm with EG Camera Girl! I had a cousin once who said if she wasn't totally sure about something that it could be because she either dreamed it or made it up! Digital mammography has contributed to the quick readings these days. I had to go for a repeat exam a couple years back and they asked me to wait and the radiologist was actually there to come in and give me the all clear sign about five minutes after the last squeeze! Hooray for technology (sometimes!). Now let's await the arrival of your camera to see what happens!

Wow- I'm glad you journaled this day on your blog, so a year from now, when Murphy comes back around (and you know that little bugger will), you can come back to this day and you won't feel so mad about it. LOL!
Congrats all around for all the good news on everyone's health!

What a great day and a great post. Certainly a reminder that many, many times, the glass really is half full. We need to remember all the good days when we have to survive a bad day!!
