Neck Pain relief without drugs

I took the week end off due to neck and shoulder pain caused by my own stupidity... HOURS of playing with photos creating and writing silly stories.

I decided to revamp the way my monitor sits and found that if I raised it 4 inches I did not have to lean forward and arch my neck... Also decided to TIME myself when Playing....

I am better today... So the answer to my neck pain was Raise The monitor using the box a keyboard came  in, that is used to store all the cords I have no clue what they are for... Alas! if I ever need one of the cords it will hard to access. Of course they have been in that box for years without ever opening it.  NO Pills involved..   PLUS I have my laptop set up on the dresser for standing up time.

I've had pain several times win my right arm and shoulder when I do my birding photos by the hundreds sometimes. Just add a neck scarf for color to cover the keyboard box and you're considered an interior decorator with a class act skill!!

Ps...by the way, I actually saw only the JOGGERS with phones/earplugs at the park. The revelers on the beach were playing volleyball/swimming/building sand castles...no electronics there at all. It was a nice nostalgic day.

This is genius! And a perfect place to keep the box...where there are other cords! How did you ever think of it? You have a nice big monitor, we both have tiny ones. In fact, when I saw your picture, I thought you had figured out how to put your computer stuff on the T.V.! So you are feeling better now? Good thing you are so clever, or you would still be hurting!

I have found too, that a few inches can make a huge difference when sitting in front of a computer for extended periods of time.Glad you figured out how to correct this.

Hello, this sounds like a great idea. I have horrible neck pain, I should try to find a box or way to lift up my monitor too. I hope you are staying cool and having a great day!

good job. those little adjustments can make such a big difference. It's easy to sit at the computer for hours and lose track of time.
I asked about my xrays when I went for blood work today. They say slight osteoarthritis in both my hand and back. They are sending me for physical therapy and my first day is tomorrow

Yay ... you smarty-pants, you!
I'm so sorry to hear of your discomfort, but glad to know nothing else went awry. (You've NO idea my crazy imagination!)

Now I'm a bit curious, what's that award with your cute picture to the left of your monitor?

Glad you found a way to help your neck. I forgot to tell you how much I liked the previous photo with the lamp and your squiggly technique.
