Home is where the heart is...

This room is the Heart of our Home Sweet Home. Saturday early AM while shaking the kitchen rugs in the dark, I turned and this is what I saw.,
This room  is the reason we bought the house in 1989. The middle of the house is one big open room.
This is looking from back yard to front of house, one big room that is 35 feet long and 17 feet wide. 25 x 17 carpet and 12 x 17 Kitchen tile.
it was last painted and carpeted 18 years ago, but we love it anyway.

I love the open, airy designs of houses like this! For me, the less walls and doors the better. Except for bedroom and bathroom. I also love the light floor and walls. I do not like dark things! I think your house may be bigger than ours. Now I want to see it from the other end, and all the other rooms! Your kitchen and cabinets too.

Wow, what a beautiful home, Sandra. There is such a warmth and yet, cool (light) atmosphere in that room. Thanks for sharing. I felt as though I'm standing there with you. Jo

Very nice. In the wee hours of the morning it looks quite peaceful too. I wish mine looked that clean. I'm pretty sure my dining room table has several things on it right now that don't belong there

It is a gorgeous room and so much happy light. I bet you get tons of reflections in there too.

I really like that after all these years you still love your house and it makes you happy.
That's the way I feel about mine...After 9 years we still say we're glad we moved, we love our home and we call it our Forever Home.
Being content and satisfied is the best.

Our former house had rooms--well defined rooms. They were cozy and comfortable. The new place is an open concept in the living space and we love it. There are three large windows that look out on a wetland with lots of birds, bunnies, the occasional deer and who knows what else. Two different houses. Each worked for us at the time.

Best,
Bonnie

Nicccce! Is that a built-in microwave under the counter?
Our kitchen and living area are similarly laid-out ... forcing me to (try and) keep the kitchen tidy. (HBO word!)

I love your dinette chairs! :)
