Along Came a Spider part 2..

Not one spider in the bathroom since my prior post on July 22 of Along Came a Spider.
The answer was natural repellents for spiders..found by Google Search
5 drops of Peppermint Oil
4 drops of Dawn Dish Detergent
Warm water in a spray bottle
Shake and Spray all crevices and places they might visit.
IT WORKS.. and it smells good.
Tea Tree, Citrus, Lavender Oils all work. I chose peppermint because of scent allergies.
Received from Amazon in 2 days. $7.00 was the price.

I need to make that spider mixture! What is soda pressing? OH, it compacts the empty can. Di you buy it? Probably not, I think you don't drink much soda?

Hello Sandra!:) This is a good tip. I have some Tea tree oil, but I wonder if it works on other creepy crawlies, because if it doesn't, I need the spiders to catch them!!:) I LOL at your last image and caption,...just wasn't expecting such a funny ending. Thanks for the laughs.:)

Spiders are abounding lately. Essential oils; so many uses.

Hello, I will have to remember this repellent recipe. I like peppermint and lavender scents. I've been seeing some spiders lately. Happy Wednesday, enjoy your day!

Thanks for the "recipe." The other day I dropped one crumb on the floor and ants appeared immediately!

LOL...soda pressing!!

I might have to give that spider repellent recipe, our spiders are out of control here in Northern California!

I do love spiders... they catch mozzies... but my husband is terrified of them... so if they get too close for comfort I have to capture them and release them into the garden... we once had a black button spider nest in our garden which I just let be... love your joke at the end!

I love peppermint. Good to know that spiders don't! :)

I adore the scent of peppermint, and I'm all for natural repellents. (These little furbabies' noses are lots closer to the floor than ours!)

Question: Is Dawn detergent really that good? I've been using Palmolive for decades, but lately I've heard several people say they're using Dawn.

I don't know about all the oils- haven't tried too many. But lavender oil blended with coconut oil is something I use use at night to help me sleep. I haven't heard of this for spiders.

All my life it seems spiders have been crawling. Since here in the apt. None. Thank goodness.

Snakes and spiders and black flies I despise. Yuks.

Sounds like a win-win situation for you, Sandra, no more spiders and a pleasant scent as well. And, I did like the "depressing" photo.

That's good news about the spider deterrent. Sodapressing! For the spider, right?

Thanks for the recipe.
