New Readers

With these new readers,  I can see to type this post and read books and see the dirt on dishes when I wash them. I bought cheap because I only need them for a month

Do I want to wear no glasses and let readers dangle at my neck? Put them on and off?

Or do I  get new lens with glass at the top with reading/computer in bottom... leaning towards this solution.

the cheap readers only had Brilliant Blue and Really Brilliant Purple in the strength I needed. Can yo guess which color I chose?

What did the right eye say to the left eye? Between you and me there is something that smells.

Optician: You need glasses.
Patient: But I’m wearing glasses.
Optician: Then I need glasses

I do solemnly swear this is the last post on my cataract surgery....

I love blue and you look great with the new readers.

Sorry about your cataract. A smooth surgery to you

I love blue also.

You look fab in that color.

I am still waiting to have a lens in mine the one where I got it done. The cataract removed. Been a year now. To get my vision clear.
I so envy you Sandra.

Boohoo Me.

It's good news that you have clear vision now. I like your new blue specs.:)

You look good in them. Here, Dollar Tree sells them for one dollar. Really cute ones. My daughter-in-law buys them. Here's the deal. I got these really cute pins. They are magnets with a front and back. Less than an inch. You put one inside your blouse and one outside. Anywhere on your blouse or dress. They look like a cute pin of a little pair of glasses. And then you sick one of your glasses side pieces thru it, and it HOLDS your glasses tightly. NO granny chain, and so cute!! You can even bend way over and they won't drop. I think I have two and will be glad to send you one. I have to look and be sure I still have it. They are selling them more and more places now.

Right eye left eye cracked me up.
I love the shape of the readers and that you can get several colors if your little heart desires.

P.S. you look so good!! Don't wear glasses around if you don't have to. Unless you like the way you look in them. And here lies the solution. Whether you look better with or without glasses. Get the clear upper lenses if you think you look better wearing glasses. Post pictures of yourself with and without and let us decide.

Maddie is right, you can get all colors and kinds of cute readers for a dollar. That would be fun, too.

They look good, and you look good in them :) But the main thing of course is to be able to SEE... I can't use cheap standard glasses for any puprupse because my eyes are so different from each other. (Mix of problems with both, and one eye twice as bad as the other.)

you look good in blue! are you having eye surgery? I've got to get to the eye doctor. I bought two pair of readers at dollar tree green and pinky mauve. :) I can't stand having anything on my face. I'm super picky about sunglasses, but need them in the sun...my eyes are super sensitive to bright lights.

I think if I were in that situation I would get progressive lenses,so I didn't have to worry about putting my glasses on and taking them off.I have worn glasses so long that even if I had perfect vision,I would feel half dressed without glasses on my face.

Smiling here at the humor in this post. You look lovely in your glasses.

Hi Sandra... I wear bifocals and find them fine to use. Like you top half to see distance and the lower half for the computer at work and of course at home. I hope you get what works for you X

Glam! I've been wearing contacts for the better part of 30 years, so I've no first hand knowledge ... but LOVE hearing everyone's opinions. (Pretty sure I'm going to have to take the plunge before long. But like Marie, I hate having anything ON my face.)

You look really good in the blue frames.

My readers are all cheap ones. I have several pairs. One I keep at work and the rest are all over the house. I have one pair on a chain because I got tired of putting my glasses down and then forgetting where I put them or losing them under my mess when I was crafting

I am so thrilled. A miracle of modern medicine.

Walmart has Readers. I have a few pair I lose, uh, misplace, often.

I wish I could still wear my contacts, but since I am very nearsighted and have astigmatism plus needing readers, I have the graduated glasses to wear all the time. If I only needed readers, I'd get a few pair of the cheapies and not have to wear them all the time. You'll figure out which is best!
Stay safe as that hurricane approaches. Well they say it might hit Florida last I saw. Hope it decides to veer out to the middle of the Atlantic!

Blue suits you. I wanted blue frames, but couldn't get any although there were so many designs to choose from. I have a prescription for varifocals (graduated lenses). You can't see the join these days, but they take a while to get used to. I'm waiting for cataract operation, but not ready yet. I would find it strange not to wear glasses as I've been wearing them since 11 years old and I'm used to them, part of my ID. I take them off for photos as the flash sometimes glints on the lens. You do what's best for you Sandra - and what's economical, if you can.

Love your jokes. No it won't be your last story about your cataracts. You will want to tell us all just how much better you can see later. ha ha

Those look nice on you. I just got some distance glasses for driving/TV. They wanted to do progressive lenses with reading in the bottom but I'm not ready to wear glasses everyday all the time.
