The good news is, I can go out using my cell phone radar and plan my travels by the little moving storms. Recently I saw a break and drove to Wal-Mart, while inside the rain drummed on the roof but when I left the sun was out.
Florida is known as the Sunshine state. I am a heliophile but did not know that until I read this POST on a friend Denise's blog. She posted her husband is a Pluviophile which is a lover of rain. I do not love rain, but I do know we need it.
I had to look up what a sunshine lover is and here we are with yet another post about NOTHING at all.
the reason for all my posts about NOTHING and also the reason I am using Archive Photos, is the Sunshine Is HOT and this summer I have huddled in the house in AC... I still love sunshine.

Well, I learned a bunch of things here! Lots of mini showers, who knew? Plants and things grow so well in Florida that I figured you got lots of rain. It can rain for DAYS here! So I would love mini showers. I would not love the lightening. I have the radar on my cell, and I adore the sun, too!
You need to love rain if you live in the uk, lol. But this year we haven't had our usual quota and Tom lives in hopes for rain as it saves him watering the garden.

This is not about nothing. It's about rain and sun and the love of one or the other. It's also educational because I don't think I've ever even heard the words heliophile or pluviophile before. So you taught me something this morning )
Good morning, Sandra. I am with you and will say I am also a heliophile. I have not heard of these words either, so off to google to look them up. Not that I did not believe you. A lover of rain, I wonder if there is a lover of snow, that would be my hubby.
I know we need the rain but I do not enjoy it. I much prefer a sunny day.

I have to keep telling myself that the sun is always shining, even when the clouds hide it! It is cool again this morning, almost a Fall feeling in the air.
Ohhhh I'm a Pluviophile...I love a rainy day gives me an excuse to curl up with a good book. I also love a cool sunny day with a breeze but I do not like a hot humid hazy day aka hohuhaophile. LOL
In 1985ish we went to Hawaii...their weather is much like to described.

Pluviophile...? That would be me, too! I love rain! Even stormy weather! I think long days of sun and intense heat are over rated in my humble warped opinion! A little of both is perfect.....but in the same 5 minute time span? That would be Florida! Lucky YOU!
What about all of us that likes sun, rain, and SNOW in the Mountains?!!! lol

Visiting Jacksonville several years ago I saw big rains come in .....5 mins tops and they were all cleared out. I love a great long rain on some days esp. when we are in need of it.

Yup, I remember getting so annoyed at the near-every afternoon showers! ...and the lightening's unnerving, for sure! One of the strangest/funniest experiences I had with on-line dating: A fellow proposed taking portable lawn chairs and sit by the water's edge to watch the approaching storm. Oh nooooooo, he** no!
Tongue-in-cheek, I used to tell people I was moving to Arizona because they said didn't rain very often.
Interesting definitions! Wonder if anyone would notice if I amended my profile to read, chionophile! :)

Sounds like your weather changes even more frequently than that in Manitoba.
