Canine Saga cont...

Yesterday I stood in the shower, wetting my hair, about to add shampoo, when suddenly I felt something push between my legs and opening my eyes found JAKE standing under the shower with me. He has owned us for 12 plus years and has never done this before. I shouted for Bob, who could not hear me, to bring towels. Since we were both soaked, including his collar, and the dog shampoo lives in the shower because I bathe him there I decide to give his a bath. I had to drip through bedroom and down hall to get towels and of course he dripped with me, we returned and I shampooed said Canine and dried him somewhat, shampooed my hair and then the fun began. a half hour clean up of the mess we created. ON the PLUS side, I did not have to clean my bathroom today because I did it yesterday....
Bob walks in the living room from outside and sees us both wet and says Did you bathe Jake????? did any of you hear my ARRRRRHHHH answer?   As a Side NOTE: Can you see how thin I am now that I have lost 44 pounds?????? weigh in yesterday was down 2.4 pounds.

Hello, that is weird. My dogs would run from having a bath. Your Jake decides to walk and join you taking your shower? I have to say, you are looking like a stick person now, congrats on your weight loss. Awesome!

Happy Friday, enjoy your day and the Labor Day weekend!

Jake sounds like a smart dog. He knows when he needs a bath! I had a cat do that to me once, quite by accident. She could see the water droplets running down the clear shower curtain from the outside and decided to lunge at them, which landed her in the tub while I was taking my shower. She quickly realized what she did and got out of there as fast as she could!

How much do you still want to lose? That is weird about Jake. My dog and most dogs dislike water never mine a shower.

Are you a big lady originally since married? I know we all look like Barbie dolls when single and just first married for 10 years.

I was a toothpick having my children. After I had a flat stomach till I hit 50's.

Then my knee operation loss. Now I have gained back some weight. Not good for me.

So grads for you in your weight loss. As I told you and others have also.

I tell you your so blessed to have that pool. When your feeling better with all these allergies being better or less with meds.

Put on lots of sun protector lotion and just relax swimming. I have a special throw on lightweight jacket I have to wear at my daughters pool. To protect from sun. And when walking . My family bought it for me.

Plus when I have my meds. I have to protect from sun. Dr says.

Yay you Sandra 44 lbs....wow what is your goal? Don't blow away I could hardly see you in the drawing. If Madi walked in the shower with me the EMS would have to be called.
Hope you 2 feel better very soon

Yes you are shrinking! Great way to bathe Jake. I could only drag my smaller dog half way in my shower but she was partially clean lol I won't try it again though. What a way to get bathroom clean

He must have felt a bit grubby, ( dog, not Bob ).
I admire you so much for keeping this diet up, well done.

Congratulations on your healthy eating! You look great. I've never seen a dog volunteer for a bath or shower. LOL

In light of your recent water issues - and bathroom antics - our neighborhood is having sewer issues. There was a leakage caused from a blockage...and all kinds of people have been out working. They fixed the blockage and were going to just LEAVE the spilled sewage. They told us to keep kids and pets away until it rained. WHAT? Well, we called the township and other officials, now there is a containment and clean up plan in place. I couldn't believe they were going to leave it there. It is 2017 not 1017, right?

Another sign of doggie dementia?? I wouldn't know, as I never had a dog. Anyway, at least for a while after, you had a CLEAN dog :)

Congratulations, you have so much willpower!!!! Well, Jake must be in his second puppyhood, that's it!!! What a story! But you made lemonade out of lemons, a bath!

How funny your dog joined you for the shower. Keep extra towels and supplies all handy in case it happens again and then you won't have to drip your way down the hall. Congrats on your weight loss.

Still feeling bad? How are you? How is Bob? He must be worse than you by now.

Well Jake is certainly doing some different things. Hope this isn't going to be a new season of his life.
At least you got him scrubbed clean and your shower too.
Way to go Sandra!!
44lbs is terrific.
So proud of you.

HAHA...that is crazy. Dakota does not like water, baths or showers so I will never have this happen. 44 lbs....yay, that is awesome. I stopped at 63. I need to focus on starting the correct eating again. Very, very proud of you for those lbs....that is a great job.

Sounds iike another doggie dementia episode..but at least he was comfortable with you and having his bath too...a clean dog is a tired dog. It used to exhaust mine!!!...:)JP

Poor Jake...he must have needed some extra Mama-Jakey time!
I am sooooo excited about your weight loss!! You rock, MS!!

Is it comforting (in a way) that Jake wants to be near his momma?
Sweet, sweet boy.
I can just imagine your reaction at Bob's innocent comment!

Was he shivering and upset like the other times? Or did he just want to be close to you.

That is so unusual about Jake! Congrats on the weight loss - great job!

YAY for 2.4 more. I once did that and have always said the real benefit was the improvement in my self-worth and that the weight loss was the bonus.
Lucy won't even come in the bathroom just in case that 'thing' starts to spray water. And obedient at ever, she enters when told too; albeit slinking with ears drooping. Such a drama queen.
But somehow I don't think Jake is acting. And strange that is where he took refuge before. I hope at some point you find it is something odd and amusing that is setting him off.

How odd for Jake to do that but at least he got a nice bath. - Congrats on that weight loss.

hi sandra, first off, congrats on the weight loss. great job! jake is the sweetest doggie ever! how funny he joined you for the shower.

p.s. chuckling at quiet corner's comment.

LOL, I love this! Bob probably heard you and ran for the great outdoors! Nah, he wouldn't do that. Jake must like his baths! It's amazing how much water can drip off a person (much less a canine) when one is just trying to reach the towel they forgot to move closer to the shower. At least you didn't have to clean the bathroom again! Congrats on the weight loss!
