I'm Back! sorry I scared some of you by not posting. My friends from Savannah, GA came for a visit and I took a couple of days off..... Every morning, Jake grabs the shoe above, which is his most favorite toy, and walks around with it on his face covering his eyes, he carries it all over the house. I have tried a trillion times to get a pic. The moment I aimed the tablet he slam dunked it and went to watch Bob cook. in the collage you can see how difficult it is to take a pic. he suffers from camera hate. He has been carrying this shoe for 12 years... he sleeps with it when we are gone.
Above is the wait position every day while Bob cooks breakfast.. Below is our new neighbor dog, a 9 month old huskie. he climbs on the fort up a ladder and peeks around the corner to watch us. His name is Lokie and his little brother is a dachshund named Louie Armstrong. He is much to small to climb up there. When we have the feeling someone is watching us, we know who it is.

Dog cuteness overload. :) Jake is adorable with his shoe. The neighboor's huskie is cute as well, the way he peaks out at you. :D

I love the look on Jake's face watching his daddy cook. I can just imagine him with the shoe "on his face!" That is hilarious about the huskie. I know I would love the dachshund too.
Camera hate - Lucy suffers from it too.
I appears Jake can see through those little holes and knows the lens is on him----too funny.
Lucy responds to all kinds of cues from the kitchen and comes running except if a frying pan is sizzling. Then she runs to other end of the house. I often wonder if she got splattered at some point.

That shoe is too funny but I tell you for being a 12 yo security shoe it looks quite good. Your new furneighbors are gonna be nice to have around

Jake's coat is so pretty! Love how he gazes at Bob like Nancy used to look at Ronnie (Reagan).

So Jake is camera shy just like his Daddy!! HEY, he has somehow gotten MY Croc!! Which I wear every day. Do you ever wear this shoe? Lokie is the cutest Peeping Tom I have seen. I have a friend whose cat loves shoes, and rolls around on them...whether someone is wearing them or not. It must be because of all the different smells shoes have.
How cute! He obviously takes good care of that special shoe. The last time I left a shoe where my daughter's dog could get hold of it, I ended up with a totally ruined shoe. It's fun to watch dogs hanging around people with food.
Oh Jake, you are precious. And the neighbor's husky is a scream, peeking around the shrubs at you!

Dogs seem to find one toy and become attached to it.Our dog, we used to have had a big fuzzy fabric ball that was always at his side. At least it started out as a fuzzy ball.

What does Jake think of his new neighbor checking in? Tell him he is still a star to me :) though the sight of Lokie looking around the fence is adorable. Loved Jake’s pose in the kitchen and the fact that he has been carrying that show around for so many years is a big smile bringer. Give him a big kiss from me :)

it is funny what objects dogs love... our snowy loves balls... but she usually destroys them pretty quickly... I love your neighbour's dog watching you... they should have called him Lookie...
