Would You?

Would you keep this jam jar? I did! I love cute jars,
and I love shaped syrup bottles, and have a small collection of bottles/jars I love.
do you collect any of these?

You are all a- mason-ing, so Please, don't bottle up your emotions, pour them out here. You are all my jam, and I want you to spread your comments below.

I love them! And YES, I would save that jar! I have only a couple I have saved from buying groceries. I won't save ones that I can't get into and wash, unless I want them for a vase or decoration. My favorite is your mug shaped mason jar with a handle. The one in the back, last one on the right...I have it! But mine is light blue. I have a collection of little blue bottles on my windowsill over the sink, too. The plaid topped one can have so many uses!! I like the different lids, too. Cork, snap on, twist on. I guess I could go on talking about bottles all night, but I just took a sleeping pill. But now your bottle post has woken me up! I want to buy some jelly now, just to get the jar. Think I won't? Don't bet on it.

That one that I have... back and last on the right end, it's kind of flat...what came in it? I have never seen this shape with food in it.

I don't get many jars with interesting shapes but I do tend to save some. Most of the stuff I buy any more comes in plastic bottles instead of glass though.

Hello, all the jars are cute. I like all the different shapes and sizes. I have stopped collecting everything, we have downsized big time.

Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!

We have the same jam jars here and I like them too but I don't save them anymore. Still learning to downsize. Love your collection.

Such interesting shapes! I used to collect colored bottles similar to those and used them for bud vases to take to neighbors. I liked to set them in the window sill to catch the light.

I have that same questions - I see a cute jar - should I save it - and I usually end up recycling - only because my house is so full I don't know where to keep them.

I used to keep a bunch of my old jars...but after our last move I am trying to de-clutter and don't keep as many. I love yours tho!

Yes I would keep it! I have a couple of them that I even use for juice glasses. Thanks for the info on the century plants. I did not know that. I don't have any in my yard, but my neighbors do.

Nice collection! Yes I save some, sometimes they come in handy... In the past I used to keep more, back in the days when I also sometimes made my own jam.

I do have a hard time throwing some of the cute jars into the recycle, but am running out of space.

I remember saving jelly jars and/or syrup bottles when I was a kid. Love the diff. colors/shapes.

Oh, yes I would save that jar...I want to save every jar...but I don't.

Why yes. Yes, I would save that cutie!
I still love my adult sippy cup (mason jar), but haven't begun any collections. Yet.

Actually, I prefer glass containers to that faux-Tupperware stuff Tom's always bringing home.
They're so hard to get dry!

I do like your jar photos. I occasionally keep one I come across and have one very similar to yours with the handle in your last photo. It has shaker holes in the top and I keep it for sprinkling powdered sugar on cakes/desserts I make when company is coming over.

Yes, I would save the first little number. There is a square jar with plum jam in the fridge right now that I will be saving.

You know me, Sandra! I keep everything! I pour my mouthwash into beautiful whiskey or tequila bottles. I bottle up my homemade pepper sauce in cute containers that most would throw away! My step son drinks a beer that comes in gorgeous green bottles so I have several of those to use as vases for wildflowers. At the camper, we empty a glass jar, clean it and use it to store leftovers in. Every once in awhile, I actually throw a jar away!

Yep...I keep them. I have all sorts of sizes and shape under the cabinet. Great for craft projects. I also have wine bottles for a bottle tree I plan on making...

Yes, Sandra, I’ve also got some glass and plastic bottles and containers saved. Grenville enjoys cashews and the plastic container they come in is great for grains, rice, mor dried beans...but I have to stop saving them because Inwould buy more stuff to refill them😕 I like your collection and the special effects.

You too?? I find it difficult to throw out cute little jars. My parents lived through the Great Depression and I think that has something to do with the fact that I can look at almost anything and say, 'Hey, that could be used for...' And I still marvel at the cute things we throw away today that I would have LOVED to play with as a kid, like a Stax potato chip container. They're so cute. I kept them for a while until a friend convinced me to throw them away. Okay, okay.

Have a great weekend!

I do keep a few unusual ones but I finally started purging when we moved 10 years ago. Too much stuff and not enough room. Inheriting my folks things and Hubby's folks things close to the same time just began to crowd us out of house and home.
Now a lot of the glass jars are kept to put drippings or grease in and then they go in the garbage instead of down our sink.
Love the shapes of yours and especially the jar with the handle. What came in that one?

I used to save more jars than I do now. I'm trying to pare down and just keep things I really need. But a few of the small jars I use for flower vases and I'll keep them. Have a nice weekend!
