Bob's prescriptions were ready for pickup. Good news! 3 prescriptions, 90 days each, only $3.00 for all 3.
Last year I slacked off taking photos except around the house as illustrations.
The answer for 2018 is take my camera with me each time I go out. My goal is at least 3 photos each time.
The 59th street boat ramp on the Manatee river is less than 2 miles from our home and Pharmacy.

I felt my soul lift and soar.
Sunshine, Water, trees, sand and a really cold breeze. Sunny and a brisk 59 degrees.
Sniffing the air like a bloodhound on the hunt, I took deep breaths of cold air.
Ahoy! who goes there I thought as I stared at the only other occupant on the beach.
God's Garbage Guy stared back at me, guarding his found food.
I left before I wanted to.
Walking to my Kia, I eyed the lone white van, engine idling, man in the drivers seat. Tap, tap, tapping.
I read to many books. Watch to many movies. I am the child of Chicken Little. Full of fear and seeing danger everywhere I go.
I conquered my fear a few minutes at a time.
I am glad I did.
Does the great outdoors lift you soul and bring happiness?
What in nature brings joy to your soul, lifts your spirit?
Zoom photos of the homes and docks and boat you can see in the distance in the first photo up top.

Wow, it looked like some kid of tire or rake tracks on the sand. But it is just where the tide should be! We are like that here, too. Big bird ponds have totally dried up and are now mud flats. This is so close to you, I would live here! Take a chair and watch everything and smell the air. I have to take my camera with me now even if I only go to the grocery store. Because if I forget to take it just ONE time, on a quick errand...there is something awesome to snap and I miss it. Like last year when we drove to my girlfriend's. Right in front of us in the road a mama and two baby raccoons. They stooped and looked at us for at least two minutes I bet. NO CAMERA!!!!! You got a great start! We have vultures just like this, groups of them are everywhere and there is now a problem with them. They sit on the roofs of stores. First picture, I love the tree shadows on the sand!!!
I enjoy seeing all your pictures. It helps make me feel a little bit warmer. We're supposed to have a bit of a heat wave today though with it going up to 50. Of course from there it'll slowly go back down.
I need to start taking my camera out with me when I leave the house. I just always hate leaving it in the car when I go in the stores.

The 'Fudge' is too bulky and weighty a camera to take with for errands outings like this, but I too regret not having it with me at times. Each year I think I ought to buy myself a little point and shoot, just for this sort of thing. Each year goes by and it isn't bought! I love your contemplative shots; anything nature soothes me, but there is something a little special about the mix of water and trees. YAM xx
Hi! "Didn't she do well" is a catchphrase from a TV show I used to watch, and came to mind when I saw what you have photographed. You do wonders with your camera indoors, and took great views outdoors, and the vulture was a super find. A walk in the outdoors always makes me feel better, it's invigorating, and it doesn't really matter where, because if you look you'll find something unexpected, even if it's not what you were hoping for. My hand held camera, is an extension of my arm, even goes with me to the loo!:=) I look forward to seeing your three shots, or more.
Ohm yes, being out in nature restores me. I love being in the woods...been so long since I was out like that. And I love to go fishing, specially if there is no one else around...justvdrink in the quietness, and to see what I can see whether in the woods or at the creek or pond.
When I came to Indiana, I so missed my freedom to roam. I had acres and acres and acres down there to 'explore.'
You need to write a post on how you purchased 3 prescriptions for $3 - that would have been about $150-300 for me. LOL Do you read mysteries? If you read mysteries, you look at idling cars and such in a different manner. :-)
Hello, I can almost feel the warm air. It is 25 ° this morning, but we are expecting warmer weather (40-50's) the next couple of days. I love the rivers views. The tide is very low. I do enjoy being in nature areas more than a city. It is a good idea to always carry your camera or use the phone camera.
Happy Wednesday, enjoy your day!
Absolutely love this post...and bravo to you for your 2018 resolution to take more photos each time you are out and about. You know we love that.
Water photos are very pretty.
Thankfully we have been able to get out some this week and I found I really missed the birds and especially the sun. Glad it is back
LOL that garbage guy was sorely mistaken if he thought you were a threat.LOL

Just being out in nature is refreshing and uplifting.Having a camera is the icing on the cakes your pictures show.
Oh yes the beauty of the trees, sky, squirrels make my soul soar too! I am glad you are taking more pictures. You have such talent. Yay for $3
I have never, ever had the privileged to go on an uninhabited beach. You are so blessed - yes I would bring a chair and sit and be close to God. sandie♥
Yes the great outdoors is awesome!
"If you see something, SAY something." Thinking of the white van ... your powers of observation are pretty darn keen. Great instincts for a photo journalist. (Can they be learned, she wonders wistfully?)
Where in nature brings joy to my soul? Without hesitation, it's the mountains, the high deserts.
Love the white sand there. Sounds like it's a bit "chilly" for you but for us here right now that would be warm. It's been in the 50's today but raining. I enjoyed your photos.
Beautiful nature pictures sweet Sandra. I love all things in nature and a nice walk outside gives me a boost every time. Trees and critters are at the top of my list as favorite things in nature. Hugs
