My Son Daniel

My Samsung tablet lies on the kitchen counter. The DING that means FaceBook Messenger has a message for me, sends me running to see what My Son Daniel is up to now.

These first photos mean  "Hi, Mom, I am taking down the Christmas decorations at work" and yes, he does have to wear a hat outside even though we live in Florida...cold on the docks where he works.

Done! Good Job is the next two photo messages.  He will be 51 in 6 weeks. Communication by photo, I Love it!

I love PUNS

"Distracted from distraction by distraction" T.S. Elliot
I love the internet, I love being distracted by distraction and the weather is always awesome!
PLUS you can't see I have no makeup on or that I am in my nightgown.
I can watch a movie, play Word with friends, communicate with sons, watch my cousins kids grow up ...are you picking up what I am putting down????

Daniel has a nice smile and he looks like he's having a good time taking down those decorations.
I also love the internet. I could live without tv but not without the internet. Well, I could live without it but I wouldn't be very happy and I wouldn't have all my friends :)

What fun to get the photos of your son. I am always thrilled to get photos and updates from family, too.

I can see Daniel is his mother's son!!! I have to admit that the internet plays a large part in my life also; mainly because I have mobility difficulties and live alone. That is not as sad as it sounds!!! I do have good 'flesh life' connections and activities, but to the greater world, there is no better chain. I love to roam. I do NOT, however, subscribe to any social media other than blogging. That keeps me quite busy enough. YAM xx

This is a great post. A smiling face like Daniel's prompts one in return. But wait, he has your smile. That's the icing on the cake.
I have tried to choose ringtones for my kids that evokes a fun childhood memory.

I loved meeting your son! He looks like he’s a lot of fun! Love the lights!
Communication is a good thing and I love that technology has made it easier to keep up with friends and family without it being too intrusive! My mother used to ‘have’ to call her mother everyday. I like that my kids can see how I’m doing just by glancing at Facebook and I them!
It’s a win! WIN!!

HAHA.....Yep, I love cell phones best cause I can remember when we called my granny in Ga. once a month due to long distance charges. With the cell I can talk to my son in Calif. every day if I want!! I love it. We tried skype but the motions were jerky so we just talk. But I love it when he text me a Calif. sunset! You son is a mess....wonder where he gets that from?

Your son is one handsome dude.
I love that he Facetimes with you and just talks about every day things.
The internet has opened up a whole new world and gives me a chance to stay in touch with so many family and friends.
It's addicting but I love it.

Great to see your son. I too, love connecting with folks via the internet.I must admit though, that sometimes I would prefer to sit down and chat with a friend face to face.

Yep, I'm picking up! :)
... a bit envious that Daniel communicates regularly with you via selfies. That smile ... oh, my!

I love technology, but there's no way I'd be interested in showing my UNmade-up face and wicked hair to ANYone.

I am so glad that you've embraced technology so that your son can have fun with you over the internet. Great photos of him. He looks as happy as you are :) Does he like puns as much as you do?

Your son is very handsome! And has the most beautiful blue eyes. I have spent a great deal of time texting with my son tonight. (One reason I'm so late with visiting.) Oh, and I love being able to communicate with others on our devices or online and not have to worry if my hair is a mess or if I'm dressed or not. :)
