Thankful Thursday..Suvivors

Today is Thankful Thursday
I am thankful for our home of 28 years and I am thankful that Bob is a Survivor and that we all 3 survived his heath issues and a few other crazy things last year that involved our truck held hostage by a broken spring on the garage door.

The year 2017 started when our water heater died and had to be replaced at a cost of $897

As I played with the mono setting on my camera, my two Men just walked around me and into the photo

Then Bob's health went berserk.
 June 9th melanoma cancer removal
June 19th stroke
June 25th 4 hour cardiovascular surgery
Sept 10th Hurricane Irma
Oct Bob's Cataracts removed
He is now back to 100% from all of it.
I am thankful to have Bob and Jake to walk into my photography efforts.
Let the PHUN begin...
We made it to Feb 11, before the OUT OF POCKET started.
$490.00 for a POOL Filter, we ordered it from Amazon and it came yesterday.
VERY Thankful Bob can install it...
I am thankful that Jake has watched Bob cook breakfast for 13 years and that Bob has cooked his own breakfast for 20 years.

Doesn't every woman love a man who cooks? I just LOVE your dining area! All the sun coming in, and the big beautiful window. That is MY kind of kitchen!!! I like light. As in light from sun, and light colors, like your kitchen. When we moved in here, the cabinets were all old knotty pine. We renovated and they are now called pickled, like bleached beach wood. I love your little shelf, and the way you hung the pictures. I have no ability in this area. You do.

It seems funny seeing Bob in pants...lol. All your other pictures he's either wearing shorts or a swim suit. Hope that your pool expense is the last one for the year.

Sounds like we both had less than wonderful 2017s; different but still draining. I have three big bills waiting for me this month... and so it goes on. Yet we still wake each morning, we can cook in our kitchens (with or without company) and we can give thanks. On the whole, life is good.

I too love your light-filled place - and your mono-photography! YAM xx

Good morning Sandra! Love your photos! My hubs makes his own breakfast too, he eats 2 sticks of cheese, a bowl of potato chips and a coke. I have a bowl of oatmeal with honey drizzled across the top and I’m the one that gains weight, I guess it is in the genes (jeans, lol). Have a great day! ~jackie~

Very nice series of B&W photos, and I am so glad that you got through the troubles of last year. I see Jake is keeping an eye on Bob! - and of course you have them both on camera surveillance... ;)

Even in the difficulties there is good....sometimes we really have to look long and hard for it.
I'm thankful for you and our blog friendship.'

I'm thankful for my Hubby and his steadfast love for me.
I'm thankful for the laughter and for the tears too.
I am so thankful for the move we made almost 11 years ago to our home in Rocklin, CA. God provided it and we are forever grateful.

Nice post on thankfulness, Sandra, and sometimes we don't take the time to reflect on all the things we have to be thankful for in our lives. Like you, I am also thankful for a spouse who cooks and does so for both of us when he does. But most of all I am thankful for family, good friends, health and being with my best friend and husband.

You have a lot to be thankful for. I never realised Bob had so many health issues last year. He must be tough. Hope you have a better year in 2018.
