Makeup..YES/NO

Collage Left to right..
no makeup, brown spots/discoloration
1 drop concealer covers discolorations
1 drop of matte makeup on a make up brush .
Vaseline on lips because of wrinkles, I don't wear lipstick
Cant wear mascara/eye shadow due to allergies, but would if i could and did in the past, AFTER I moved out of Daddy's House where it was not allowed. I also had my ears pierced when I moved out.
Here I am 55 years later, still wearing earrings and makeup.
I try to make it look like I don't wear makeup, my niece in PA asked what do you use for your skin, it looks flawless. the answer was
MAKEUP
Why would I not wear it? Takes under 5 minutes, Walmart cost $6.00 for concealer, $7.00 for makeup... they both last about 3 months..

I never leave home without doing this... NEVER!  I purposely cut off the hair in photos because I was fresh out of shower with wet hair and you do NOT want to see that...I have never dyed my hair, it is three shades of gray.. NOT 50 shades of gray.

I watched several makeup videos for Senior women and  women over 70 and learned a few tricks on color and application.
Rule 1 was match it as close to the color of my the skin on my neck. I  use Makeup brush to swirl into pores...
if you use a make up brush be sure to wash it with soap and water once a week, also sponges should be washed.

Do you wear makeup? If so how much and what kind and how often. Talk to me...
Below is what I use, and since Rimmel comes from Canada I hope the tariff wars don't stop it from coming to me.

I started by buying at Walmart, but moved to Amazon because WM is out of what I need when I need it.

I don't use any makeup at all. Except for some lipstick for occasions. Hmmm, this looks interesting. As a teenager, it took me almost 2 hours to put my makeup on. So you use liquid, but with a brush? These are the two you use? When I used foundation, I always smoothed it on with my fingers. I have seen some really cool cheap little ridged brush pad cleaners on Amazon. Looks like you chose the perfect shade! They used to say to match the color on your wrist. But your wrist is NOT your face.

Last century, when I was still in the workforce, I would comply with a bit of lippy... but haven't worn any of that in the last decade. There was the teenage period of experimentation. Never liked the feel of it on my skin. I will very (VERY) occasionally darken the eyebrows and wear some kohl. And this from a woman who was an Avon rep for ten years! YAM xx

Your makeup looks very natural. I do not wear makeup these days. When I worked every day I used Estee Lauder makeup. Thankfully, it did help with sunscreen protection all those years.

Hello, I wore makeup when I worked. Now unless it is a special party I do not wear makeup at all. I do wear a sunscreen moisturizer. Happy Monday, have a great day and new week!

What a lovely collage.
I use a light Cover Girl liquid foundation applied with finger tips, followed by loose powder and blush for color applied with their own brushes. I also use Rimmel concealer (thanks to you) on one age spot near my left ear. All applied to forehead too. Takes under 5 minutes

I rarely wear makeup. The only time I do is if I'm dressing up. When I do it's just a foundation, blush and powder.
Yours looks very natural and if you hadn't said anything and just shown the picture after you put it on I wouldn't know you were wearing any

Your make-up skills deserves a higb five!! And just WHERE are these videos for senior job-a-dos??!

No, I don't use make-up but mascara. I have no eyelashes otberwise. But if I had one of your expert videos to follow, I probably would.

I'm not much help because I never wear makeup. Your photos are convincing as to how it enhances your natural beauty but I probably still won't find that 5 min per day to do it!

You look beautiful, Sandra. Amazing cover up with that concealer. I use make-up every day of my life. I sold make-up and skin care for 30 years and learned to use it skillfully. I had a slacker attitude when living on the farm, walking dogs up and down to the river checking on the ladies clearing the bush and also when I mucked out stables when they were off. Now I sell make-up again and because I face customers every day, I take extra special care with my glamour. Like Hootin' Anni, I'd also like to see these videos for seniors. Thanks for a wonderful post as always. Jo

No make-up on stay at home days. Otherwise pressed powder with a brush and lipstick one shade darker than my natural lips. Mascara and powder liner occasionally.

I used to wear mascara and eyebrow pencil because my eyelashes and brows are blond.
They really are non-existent...
Now unless it's a really special occasion I don't wear anything but lipstick.

It seems my eyes are allergic to most things.
Your makeup looks flawless and that concealer is perfect.
You are beautiful both inside and out anyway!

Sandra my eyes - I think because I am allergic to Disco - can't take any eye make up on them without a reaction.

I do put an eye cream and light moisturizer with a SPF of 40 every day no matter what.

If i go out - i do put some foundation - blush - eyebrows - and lipstick - and i am ready to go in 5 minutes.

I think that make up just makes you feel a titch better.

Even pre-concealer, your complexion is lovely, Sandra! I'm trying to wrap my mind around applying foundation with a brush! (Then again, the rivulets in my face are so deep I fear anything liquid would settle in the cracks.) It would probably behoove me to watch some of those videos, no? 99% of the time I enjoy 'dressing' my eyes, trying to divert attention to my overly large nose. \LOL.

FROM, not to! Yikes!

I do not leave the house without makeup on. A light coat of foundations little eye shadow, touch of blush, cause I can look very pale without it.I also add some color to my brows and some on my lips. This sounds like a lot, but only takes a couple of minutes from start to finish. You do look lovely with the make-up.

I do not wear any type of makeup, but I will use some for dress up occasions which are not very often. However, we have a couple of family weddings this year, so it will be used. But, I have opted not to go for any shade of gray and so instead of makeup, I have my hair cut and dyed brown and that is my biw to vanity.

Makeup....a woman's best friend! I use this that and the other. I don't always use the same makeup each time. I always put lotion on first, once that is dry I put some concealer under the eyes, then my foundation. I don't use powder other than on the eyes to be sure that the concealer and foundation is set. I don't use powder cause with that stuff it will tend to get in wrinkles and who needs that!!! :) From there I put on my liquid brown eyeliner and then my mascara, black. And there you have it...nothing on the brows, no eye shadow and no lipstick. I used to wear it daily when I worked now I only put it on when I am heading somewhere special. When I retired I gave up wearing it often....sort of like the bra!! haha...gave that up too...

I don't wear make up unless I'm going somewhere special. Just lipstick for other times. I have never liked the feel of it on my skin.

As a rule I never leave the house without some make-up. Today I am seeing a dermatologist to get a body check so I won't be wearing a foundation. It looks good on you!

My name is Linda and I wear makeup. IF I go out of the house - I have make up on. And hair done - or I wear a hat!
Now this is not the makeup you told me about last year! It was mineral something or other and I tried to find it at Walmart and found one of the two things you used then. So - I tried to copy you but ended up using all my old stuff until it's gone - plus the one new thing I found.... and then I will buy new.
You look great, by the way!!
