May Me!

Collage photos taken using my tablet, May 19, 2018
January 26, 2017, I started my journey to a new me. Today is 16 months since I gave up sugar and white flour. I still eat white flour once or twice a week, but not one sweet has crossed my lips in 16 months...

Sixteen months later, I am down 62 pounds and I have learned so much about nutrition from friends, internet and my TOPS friends.

Take Off Pounds Sensibly is what TOPS stands for. I have lost only 6.6 pounds since January 2018.

Sensible Weight Loss  comes off slowly, but will stay off.

I am 11 pounds from my goal weight, which was set by my Doctor.
.

Looking at these photos taken at the beginning,  I am feeling so HIPPO-critical of my photos.

Weight a second!

I just  realized my face reduced the chances of my being kidnapped!!! brahaha
Whale, I am done here, I have scaled back a bit..

Very proud of you...you are strong than I was. After my surgery I should have stayed away from sweets but I did not, now I need to break myself of that habit. In reply to your comment about me knowing the person that painted the yellow brick road....if I was a tad (being a joke) OLDER I would say it was probably me!

I'm so proud of you and you look fantastic. I certainly wish I could lose that much weight. I know there is sugar in many things like yogurt or mustard. Do you avoid all of those sugars also?

So, so awesome!!!!!!
I'm so proud of you.
You have done better than me. I'm afraid sugar has passed my lips and flour will be my downfall.
Still struggling to get those last few pounds off so I can begin my final 10 pound goal.
You look amazing....

You are so remarkable! I'll bet Bob's over there, just bustin' his buttons? Not sure if you caught it, but one of this morning's news shows featured weight-loss surgeries (lap band) gone horribly wrong; one lady even died.

Your collage is so cute! My favorites are all 3 (vertical) in the center column plus that on the top right.

You are amazing! You are so right that slow weight loss will stay off. It sounds as if you have done it so sensibly! And you look like 1 million bucks! Wow the transformation is incredible.

Before I was blogging, I lost 70 pounds. It's a long story but I had to take medication for endometriosis that caused me to gain those 70 pounds. After I had surgery 11 times to take away the endometriosis pain, I could stop the medication. Then I did my weight loss a lot like you did. I lost 1 pound a week for about 70 weeks. And , like you said, it has stayed off because I took it off so slowly.

Congratulations to you!

Oh, Sandra!!! I did not realize how much you have lost!!! You look fantastic! You also look just as happy as you can be! Not that you didn't look happy before!! Congratulations!!!!! I am having to exercise self control in giving up wine. I miss having a glass in the evening with Louis Dean as we sit around the campfire. Instead I fix fancy teas and drink them in my largest wine glass! Being tea - I can fill it to the brim and refill as desired!
