Pretty Paperwork

Stepping in from the back yard , my eyes went straight to the above silhouette.. my camera lives on the table next to that silhouette.

Staring in awe at the Pretty Paperwork I had Placed there to remind me to do said paperwork, my hand automatically reached for the camera and I SNAPPED!

Do you leave signals for your self as reminders? As in see the paper work dummy, it needs attention is what this says to me. Out of sight out of mind in my senior years. I leave laundry basket on bed to say Clothes in dryer....

NOTE: if you live a boring life, buy a camera, of if you have one, leave it sitting in plain sight.. I am never bored. First I snapped and enjoyed until the sun moved, then I played with the photos in the computer and you know the rest of the story... YES! the paper work is still there as I type this post, but then who cares?

Work will always be there - no matter what!!

Your silhouette reminds me of that song......Silhouette.....

Took a walk and passed your house late last night
All the shades were pulled and drawn way down tight
From within, the dim light cast two silhouettes on the shade
Oh, what a lovely couple they made
Put his arms around your waist, held you tight
Kisses I could almost taste in the night
Wondered why I'm not the guy who's silhouette's on the shade
I couldn't hide the tears in my eyes
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
Lost control and rang your bell I was sore
Let me in, or else I'll beat down your door
When two strangers who have been two silhouettes on the shade
Said, to my shock, "you're on the wrong block."
Rushed out to your house with wings on my feet
Loved you like I'd never loved you, my sweet
Vowed that you and I would be two silhouettes on the shade
All of our days, two silhouettes on the shade
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah

I do leave stuff prominent that requires attention - and still manage to 'unsee' it! The Camera is never more than a stretch away though - that I never forget &*> YAM xx

It is gorgeous, fine and beautiful stationary! Perhaps Chinese rice paper with a flower shadow on it. Only sold in high quality book stores. YES, I have started always leaving out reminders! I still have my winter flag out front. So I had Phil bring the spring flag out and put it in front of the couch. Otherwise it would never get changed. As to calling people, we still need to find some kind of reminder for that.

Love the pictures. I leave things out to remind me too. Sometimes it works, other not so much. I almost always forget to give me coupons to the grocery store clerk and then find them with my keys as I'm leaving the store! lol

I would have taken pictures of the silhouette over doing paperwork too. And you know I would have played with the pictures as well. I leave stuff sitting out all the time so I won't forget to take care of it. The only problem is that I am such a procrastinator that I just push it out of my way and do something else.

Goof tip. I always find that the camera's are in the wrong place and by the time I have got them the moments gone. Saying that, I think you have a wonderful eye for the camera, snapping some really ordinary things that are really lovely to look at. Not sure if I've made myself clear here? LOL

YES I do leave myself reminders in plain sight. I get one particular reminder from my Mama. When she was driving and thought of something she needed to do she'd move a ring to a different. I was never clear on how she remembered exactly what it was she needed to do though. But no matter I do it too when driving but a least I have a pen and paper in the car. First stop light I write it down. Mama must have had a great memory.

Good ideas. I need to leave more 'hints' for myself...reminders. I like the silhouettes!

As long as I have a camera around I am never bored either. It's amazing how much there is that needs to be photographed. I love these photos.

I must stop trying to discern your images on my cell phone ... before coffee and contacts. Could've sworn you'd gone and made pretty scrolls. (*smile*) Each of these are great, but I'm mostly drawn to #2 with the accompanying vase.

That's a good idea about the laundry basket. I don't have signals, but there are colored index cards with lists EVERYWHERE.

Yep, I'm bored but can't afford a good camera. Meanwhile, now I've time to step up my game with PicMonkey. Right?

Oh Sandra, thanks for your smile post this morning.
I love everything about it.
My camera is right here but sometimes I'm just not motivated.
I love the way you start your day.
Thanks for your comment on my blog...
I absolutely agree that family can have different DNA than we have. That Kitchen Krew truly is extended family to me.
Good news...I'm finally down a pound! Another pound and I think I will have broken that plateau I have been living at for far too long.
Have a great day.

Beautiful photo.
I hate to tell you - but we are alike - I live myself signals all the time to remember things.
That is funny - I didn't know anyone else had such a brilliant mind!

Who says you have to stick to a schedule, Sandra? I take detours all the time. The paper was a great subject and yes owning a camera does present lots of possibilities. I have a couple, but find myself using the iPhone one more often when out and about. As they always say, the best camera is the one that's with you!

What a very cool silhouette photo! You make me wish that we had blinds (we have no coverings on any windows!). My husband likes to leave things on counters to remind himself to do them, and it drives me nutso! I doubt that your stuff lives on the counter for as long as his does :)

Yes, I do leave reminders out for myself... And on has to be aware and present to spot beauty in the mundane and everyday things of life...
